Where do you expect the Power to finish in 09?

There hasn't been much talk on here lately, so i thought i would pop the question......

I think the Power will be around the bottom end of the eight and will play finals footy.

Where do you think the Power will be at the end of the 2009 home and away season?

Im guessing around 13th but they always seem to have a good year, then a crap year, then a good year...so if they have the opposite from last year they'll get spanked in the GF again

someone correct me if i'm wrong, as i probably am, but didnt port lose 7 games by less than 3 goals last year, and won 7 games by less than 3 goals in 07?

maybe spelly can help me out here.

so they were really only a few goals worse off than the year before, just happened to be the worst timing to kick a few less goals in a game, thats all?

Well im expecting them to finish around 8th - 10th. They have some good young guys that are probably still not ready. Also I cant really say how carr will go yet. Still bit of an unknown.

Between 4-6. For a few reasons.

1. A fit Chad.
2. Josh Carr-not as good as he was, but should release a Casissi or Kane to play a more attacking role. Also improve our hardness around the packs
3. Players like Salopek and Boak will have standout years.
4. New fitness coach who worked wonders at the Bulldogs. I would think we would be better at hardball gets and running out games due to increased fitness/body size. 2 areas we were shown up last year.
5. Competition for places. All the best teams have strong competition for places in the side. We had several players out injured late last year which gave some players opportunities to play or play in areas of the ground they might otherwise not have got. You can bet your bottom dollar there are probably 30 players or more who are looking to play round 1 football.
6. And i have $20 on them for top four and i would hate to waste $20.

Go the Power 09 8)

Throw in an easier draw than last year instead of your prayer to the Bookies and you might be on to something.

2-6

First half of the season can seriously make or break a team (it did to them last year obviously), and I see Port as a team on a mission who can get themselves on a roll
