Rumours are he wants to be traded to the Power. Crows are saying its nonsense! What do u reckon.

Still you have to trade good players if you want to get good players! Much is being made of the type of player that the Crows want to add to the side, yet another player of equal skill is more than likely going to be let go in the process and no doubt like anyone else Johncock could be a player on that list if another side wants him.

Too true Soj, although the touted Johncock for Thomson plus swap of each clubs 2nd round draft pick wouldn't quite fit that bill I wouldn't have thought?

"Graham's part of our fabric, we're keen to keep him and any thought of him not being here next year is absolute rubbish – can I make that any clearer?" said Crows football operations chief John Reid tonight
Yes you could make it clearer. You could have said, "we're keen to keep him; he's keen to stay". But maybe Reid he isn't happy to stay...

Tough one for Adelaide if he is clear that he wants a move and they still have him contracted and see him as a required player.
This one,if Johncock is certain he wants a move back to his home, could well become very interesting.I would think Port Adelaide would do what they could to get a player of his calibre who is still only 25.

Waters would be ideal tough, hard half back flanker would be a great replacement for Bassett and more than adequate to cover Johncock.

It is plausible that Johncock may want to join his drinking buddies, but if he does will any of the group turn up for training?
I like the Waters deal idea - it may suit everybody..

Can guarantee there is truth to the fact he wants out. Spoke to his old man here in Port Lincoln about 5 weeks ago and he stated Stiffy will not be at Adelaide in 2009.

The way he has played this year Power wouldn't want him. Mistakes have crept into his game and a lack of commitment sees him at SANFL standard as we speak.

no he got suspended then returned via the WAFL and i think he broke his elbow and missed the last 10 or so weeks I would've thought he played 6 or so games in 2008.

It looked to me that Johncock was overweight this season, just my perception. Didn't look like he wanted to be out there either. A new club could invigorate him because at his best he is a damaging footballer.
