Rhys Palmer (44 votes) over Cyril Rioli (37). No real shock there...

Yes i agree no real shock but i was suprised to read that Palmer had 4 more possessions than Nathan Buckley did in his debut year in which he also won the Rising Star award. Palmer had a fantastic year and thoroughly deserved the medal but Cyril Rioli could think himself to be a little unlucky as he has had an outstanding year as well and would have won the award most other years with his efforts.
