NFC wrote:Anyway, Moran is so average, pass.
NFC wrote: He's a nothing player.
NFC wrote: He doesn't have a lot of footy smarts and lacks intensity, not a good combo
NFC wrote:Grima isn't AFL standard.
Moran isn't either, might play some footy with the Crows but will never do much.
NFC wrote:Really poor decision to recruit this guy.
Dutchy wrote:Im not happy about losing Moran though, he has the X factor that could develop into anything....
Dutchy wrote:Would be dissappointed to lose Moran but with Hale and McIntosh in front of him he may well go for more opportunities, that game in Tassie was his debut game and got over 20 possies and won a rising star nom in his first game......I would not let him go for anything worse than a 3rd rounder though as this guy will be a great player IMO, has a great grab...he was very close to selection in the finals but due to the Roos good run iwth injury didnt get much of a crack this year....

I hadn't noticed the comments posted above during the season, but I'd be happy to keep Moran at FF and use him as a third ruckman with Maric relieving at FF.
I think Gill is a better player further out, as is Stevens, and Bock is best in the backline.

Yep he looks good doesn't he? He's about the first guy who looks better at AFL level than at SANFL level.

They weren't happy about it, he wanted out.

early days yet, but I think Adelaide have done well with recruiting this sort of player and developing them, look at Scott Stevens as an example.

Sellar may turn out to be another one perhaps...

Has played 2 games for Adelaide, one against and inexperienced ruck combination (Carlton) and the other against Brogan and Deluca, hardly time to get excited by the performance.
If Moran is in any clubs best 22,that club is not good enough to compete at the top level.

For god sakes booney, this bloke is not a bad player and will add something to the crows forward line. Port would be lucky to have a bloke like Moron. I reckon Moron is a good enough to be in most clubs best 22.

Interesting...he played in team that finished 3rd last year
Also Sunday Mail today call him "The Kanagroos discard" - as NFC said he wasnt a discard, he left....Roos wanted to keep him especially after all the development we put into him....for those that dont know he only started playing footy at 15..
as per my comments above (draft period last year) I wasnt happy he left...but then again Lochie Hansen has taken his spot at the Roos and developing nicely and kicked the winning goal last night, swings and roundabouts...

Effectively it was a swap Moran for Meesen
I'm pretty happy with that so far
What's happened to Meesen? Not on their injury list but no games this season?

Has been disappointing in the VFL, intensity and hardness has again come under fire.

Meesen, he's where he deserves to be, just like what happened with Fungas Watts, both got just what they deserved.

He played 3 games and as I said,if Moran is in your best 22 then you arent good enough to be a real threat. (Kangas finished the year with a 15 goal loss in the Prelim, hardly a real threat)

That Salter guy (apparently Port is taking by having him in

), did ok too, with those 2 long bombs before he went off injured.

So you dont rate Moran either Booney?
Roos finished 3rd last year you cant change that and unlike another team that finished higher than us last season, we are proving this year it was no fluke!

If you are finding joy in the fact the Roos will be easy beats in the finals again this year, then so be it...

Combined losing margin in the finals of approx 200 says a lot, and they finished top 4 apparently.
