Yeah agree.

Based on those two playing forward I reckon Laird could have made the side as a defender rather than the 4 talls they have picked.

I'm usually umpiring or watching my kids play so I don't have a lot of down time to watch games, I find I get a better analysis of the games from what's written in here.

Tom is a gun. When he's not kicking goals he is setting them up or putting the defensive pressure on that Dahl is supposed to do inside 50. Finally getting the recognition he deserves. He was too big and too slow and did something about it, much like Tex has done this past year. He's one of the most important Cats for sure.

What's the benefit to whoever is conspiring to have no crowd?

Less chance of Geelong winning.
It's an anti Cats conspiracy. ;)

Just trying to get my head around the criteria for being a flat tracker, seems very similar to what Port have been accused ( rightly ) of.

Body of work I’d guess. Has been a criticism of Port for a few years hasn’t it?

Don't tell me another one of Booneys jokes has gone over my head. Come on Boon you're channeling your inner Kornesy here mate, what's more, it's working ha ha.

Ports case is remarkable, I can't recall a team that smashes the duds but can't beat the good sides quite like it. As I said earlier Port aren't that far away so not having a go for once. Last year Ports effort was remarkable and like Geelong and Brisbane, you'd have to consider 2020 an opportunity lost. Port has injected some young talent to a side that regularly finished 11th and no they look like regular finalists, something they haven't been since the Choco days. The teams that Port are struggling to get past are all pretty experienced teams that have depth. Power carrying injuries as well. Better to be 'flat trackers' than a batsman who can't make a run.

Port goes ok against some of the top sides, Western Bulldogs and Richmond for example but Geelong and Brisbane are real bogey sides. As for Richmond you are always going to be given a pass going for a threepeat.

REB
