I think the umpire paid it for over the line, that is, he missed the fact that it touched the post.

I've got this first hand, umpires on Saturday night were told by Adelaide Oval security to stay in their change rooms until the crowd had left the venue. They then left by walking across the oval where their bus then picked them up and took them to their city hotel. It is here that they were escorted off the bus by police on horseback to their accommodation.

I would have waited till morning...

You'd be hard pressed to find an umpire any where in this country would have not paid that... In real time it was a certain free.

Yet Robbie Gray motioned straight away in real time it was an arm lift. Maybe he should move into umpiring.
