I've got no argument with any of what you say above.
What the Crows did was clearly wrong and I do not support their acts in any way.
I'd sack permanently those who made that deal.

The only things I've challenged are the hyperbole about what the consequences would or should be, and Kurt's ridiculous claim of total innocence.

100% agree. those who made this illegal act should just pi$$ off .kurt signed so he is as much to blame ,regardless of what he claims.

You paid him that, and made a prelim.

yep was just tippett that got us in the prelim and in the top 4 so 2013 looks like we are back in the botton 4

Here's hoping. ;)

Oh well all over now got caught out take what’s give now let’s get on with winning a flag! That would make the haters hate even more and that makes me very happy. :D

What did Sydney do wrong?

* 1987, Sydney were fined the maximum of $60,000 and forfeited their first round pick in the National Draft after a VFL investigation found that they had exceeded the salary cap by $1.15 million during the season.
* In 1992, Sydney were fined $50,000 after it was found that they had failed to disclose payments made to former player Greg Williams during the 1990 season; Williams was suspended for six matches and fined the maximum of $25,000 for accepting the payments.
* In 1995, Sydney were fined $20,000 after key documents relating to player financial details and star full-forward Tony Lockett's contract details were lost in the post by club officials, forcing the club, who had won the last three wooden spoons, to scratch from the 1995 pre-season draft and play the season two players short. The club officials responsible were fired by the Swans one week later.

They have never done anything wrong......

Thought you were talking about the Tippett deal.

Lucky Trigg and Harper didn't work for the Swans in 95.

What source did you get those infringements from? First one seems out of whack.

Geez what would Sydney cop now for their 1987 breach? A 10 year ban from the drafts top 2 picks, a couple of million dollar fine, execs banned for life, anything up to say 10 players banned for at least half a season.
Seems to me the Sydney trolls and Crows haters should take a breather.

Maybe if the Crows had 3 breaches in 8 years they too would get a special allowance, call it the "undesirable city to live in allowance" ;)

Geezus, talk about clutching at straws when we're going back to what happened in a previous century. Perhaps we should be talking about breaches the Victorian Railways and Northcote clubs got up to in the 19th century too, be about as relevent.

I still want to see a source for this. $1.15m is a fair number to be over. Swans should have received a much bigger punishment than 60k.

I’ve come to the conclusion that a simple name change will keep us all happy.

I give you the “Adelaide Rooks”

As per the dictionary, the definition of a Rook;

1) Rook: An Old World bird (Corvus frugilegus) that resembles the North American crow and nests in colonies near the tops of trees.
2) Rook: A swindler or cheat, especially at games.

Go you Rooks. The Shame of South Australia.

IIRC what we actually have in southern SA is the Raven.
Probably this one: Corvus coronoides – Australian Raven
Crows are a north-western creature here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Crow_%28bird%29

Currawongs resemble both but are not Corvids.

Rooks are a Eurasian bird: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rook_%28bird%29

Not so what Northcote got up to must have led to their demise.
