Considering we draw bigger crowds than any other sport there, we would average 30-40k every home game I reckon maybe more. Now the SCG can hold more people.

Averaged 31k last year at home, that's pretty poor considering how often you guys make finals. If you have a few bad years like Brisbane I'd expect 20k would be the norm. Sydney people in general are not huge sport attendees

With 7.5 million people to 1.6 million and having been a one team town up until 2009 it's really little wonder....

Also, it's about as relevant as the price of bread in Mexico.

Agreed, clearly they don't capture the market very well. They've got over 7 million people to target too!!!

Disagreed, for a football club in a rugby city with a tradition of getting small attendances to sport (per popula) to out draw a football club in a footy mad city that traditionally gets relatively large crowds (per popula) to sporting events is embarrassing.

I reckon we've captured the town quite well. AFL is it's second sport... Remove the ANZ games and i'd say the average attendance would be up!

As I said yesterday, for all the years of having low attendances we still have never had to fill are stands with fabric... And that's in a state where Aussie Rules is number 1...

Non football state! And we still out draw Rugby! Massive plus side...

And since 96 I reckon we've missed the finals 3-4 times. Our memberships are at an all time high (and we don't include pets) and we continue to make a profit every year. So I reckon the Sydney Swans brand is going very strongly...

Shat in your own nest though. $9m contracts make it pretty hard to argue that you're doing it tough.

Worked within the rules the AFL gave us... Retirements and delisting a freed up space...

Anyways... Collingwood don't deserve compensation for that round
