It may mean you have to stop the game and restart it at the centre in a situation like that, but so be it. Either that or ditch the score review and go back to how it was.
Still would've been umpires call.
Rumour has it Keays is still celebrating...
If they can't be arsed using the best tech out there - umpires call, as it used to be. And once again, goal umpire cam would have still been the best vision for that decision.
I witnessed first hand today a goal umpire that was in the best spot and he got it wrong 100%, every player knew it, every spectator behind the goals knew it.
It's no excuse that a goal umpire is in the best spot if they're not the most competent person near it.
I've had enough of umpires today, they destroyed the 3 games I watched.
Get rid of them all, get rid of the bounce, get some basketball refs to teach them how to throw up a ball straight and teach boundary umpires the same and a bit of geometry while you're at it, bring in the last touch rule in the AFL and if there's not enough competent umpires to put on then get the captain's to call frees like 130 years ago, or get me to call them watching games on TV. Would do a better job.
