U haven't worked out the username yet!
So when the rule your so madly in love with has a little floor it's back to personal attacks.
what because davey said he flopped the rule has a floor? doesn't that go for every rule the afl has? do you really want to see players take the soft option and slide into the footy. I don't know if you know but this isn't a new rule it has been rule the afl are now just getting stricter on it. there's no need for a player to slide in and get the ball, no one has ever been taught and no one will ever be taught it. football is becoming too soft and the more hits we have the better.
I love how you carry on about it not being taught!
WHO CARES players do a trillion things a game that their not 'taught'.
Look away handballs, Torpedos, full length diving smothers, backing into packs, taking screamers on a players head, soccering the ball etc etc should we ban them as there not a taught skill.
Most ridiculous point to back up an argument I have ever read in SAFooty history
The point is its another grey area in our game where umpires are only going to make the right decision on a 50/50 basis.
It also rewards players who in alot of situations are not in a position to win the ball anyway ala the Dangerfield/Ryder decision.
We now have another rule which gives players the oppurtunities to stage/flop/fall for free kicks.......................to me that is SOFT
