I think the cats will knock them off. Sydney while playing good football so are the cats. Their ability to come from behind has been a huge factor in winning games. Geelong match up well against the swans and I feel the match ups will be the key. Geelong to win by 2 goals

The first part of your statement doesn't support the last line. We have been ordinary and yet we are 3-zip. I can't see us winning but I'd be surprised if we get done by six goals as well. I reckon Swannies by 14 points.

I'll be tipping Geelong by about 6 goals. Their wins this year gave been gutsy come from being efforts. Sydney only just did enough against GWS and GC without being overly impressive, and blew NM away in one quarter in the weekend.

I feel for the kid such a gun player and this to happen to him. Man it shits me at times this sort of stuff never happens to guys like Fev. (I know he had groin problems) Always seems to happen to talented players like this guy and John Coleman. (I am not saying they are in the same league) But he will be come a what if or could he have done if he never did his knee.

I'd give him one more shot. Didn't David Schwartz do his knee 3 times early in his career? Heath Grundy missed about 5 years with hamstrings but Sydney stuck with him. Maybe onto the rookie list next year, and see if he comes up.

Fair point TSG- although it would have to be affecting the lad mentally, nobody has ever come back from 4....

Rookie list could very well be an option as you mentioned.

Reminds me of the AFL's original 'Tex' Walker, Lee Walker who played for West Coast and Collingwood.
Exceptionally talented key forward whose potential was unfulfilled due to three knee recons.

I think Walker had four as well IIRC. Yeah terrible luck for the kid. I read some comments on the Cats board on BF by some of the posters who had suffered ACLs as teenagers (Menzel was 19 when he did his first one) and fifteen years later its a nightmare scenario. He has to start wondering about how he is going to move about in the future let alone playing AFL football. Unfortuantely Menz appears to be Egan II. :(
