Like most people I tipped Western Bulldogs to finish in the lower reaches of the ladder but then I sat back and thought: Why?

The Doggies were disappointing last year but after being on the cusp of success and failing to deliver for the previous two seasons under Rodney Eade malaise was always likely to set in and so it did.

They've got new leadership under Brendan MacCartney who is an experienced coach (albeit at lower levels) and he might just get the best out of their pretty decent list.

After a glance at their fixtures I think 11-12 wins is a distinct possibility.

Going out on a limb here but I reckon this year is the year we will see a shake up in the comp, with regular finalists Saints & Bulldogs going bye bye, Freo & Richmond the bolters, and improvement from Adelaide.

6. Geelong, 7. Adelaide 8. Carlton LMAO.
Freo above West Coast LMAO again.
Richmond above Geelong oh dear!

Comedy GOLD Gingernuts! My spidey sense sees a wager in your future regarding Richmond finishing above Geelong this season......

Anyone who doesn't have Richmond at 9 are kidding themselves.

They've already begun their end of season review:
Narrowly missed the finals
Jack kicked plenty
Youngsters showed some promise
2013 is our year.

i was just been bold with my prediction. Geelong has too fall down sometime and look at brisbane after 2004 their finish 11th with 10 wins in 05 and 13th with 7 wins in 06, i am sure no one predict brisbane would fall that quickly.

Melbourne could surprise us and do what west coast did last year.

Just remember, every year at least one team either performs above or below expectation.

I'll go with Collingwood v Hawthorn Grand Final.

Can't remember one of those, would be a bit of a novelty if it happened.
