What's your point? You compared two players that are nothing alike just to say that one of them plays well in GFs 8-}

might as well compare Ablett Snr with Nathan Ablett.

Nathan has a premiership medallion, therefore, he's better.

Unless someone is jumping the gun, he's listed as a Perth player on their website.

http://www.wafl.com.au/players/view/425
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Still has until December 6 to nominate for PSD and Rookie drafts.

WCE havent ruled out Davis or Medhurst as rookies just not going to use any national draft picks on these players.

From not enough money to none. It's an interesting situation.
Sorry to see he didn't get another chance but he made it hard for himself.

Yeah fancy that. Someone being honest about it.

It's not as if he's earning "nothing" as claimed in a post above. Players are still paid at this level in the WAFL and there's other employment involved.

A lot of people here are ignorant as to what is earnt in the WAFL and VFL.
I know for a fact there's a few players playing in the WAFL that SANFL clubs couldn't get close to matching income wise.

Leon Davis quits Collingwood

Postby test » Wed Dec 14, 2011 7:24 am

I guess we won't know for sure, but the only noise been made about Collingwoods offer to him came from Brian Taylor.
All along he may of wanted to go home, his comment to Taylor could of been "I want to go home but if Collingwood offer me 350k I couldn't say no", BT makes a song and dance that the pies can't find the extra 100k to pay him that, Leon quits and looks like a mercenary.
Just a thought.
I glad he didn't get picked up I'd hate us to play against him!

Moving forward I hope this doesn't effect Kraks time with us, they were reportedly close mates, Kraks still got a few good years in him hopefully we get to see it all.

If that was the case, that's awesome for him.
As pointed out below, that's not what all of the 'noise' was about.

And to clarify, by "nothing", I meant nothing in the AFL.

If Collingwood did offer the 250k suggested and were 100k short of keeping him, Neon Leon will earn around 100k playing WAFL and doing work outside of it so really is only 150k short in the entire scheme of things.

Not a bad pay cut to swallow for someone who has been on a good wicket for the last 10 years and gets to return home.
