Presti will go to Kosi. Reid to Rooey.

Davis is due for a big one  because he hasn't had one all year!

Baker in for a ruckman. Interesting. Only going in with one recognised ruckman against Jolly is a gamble. Didn't see the Pies bringing back both Presti and Davis.

The changes from the last time the clubs met:

Coll
In cloke, maxwell
Out goldsack, lockyer

STK
In riewoldt, eddy, dal santo.
Out geary, pattison, steven

Both noticably stronger. Can't wait :D

Mick Malthouse has finally cracked.

All year he stood strong and now he brings in two sentimental spuds for two hungry in-form youngsters for the GF.

Saints by 11 points.
Goddard for Norm.

If he was being sentimental then Lockyer would have been first choice.

I can understand Presti coming into the side. Had been in good form until that corkie a few games back and will be the perfect match-up for Kosi.

As for Davis, I'm not sold on his inclusion. However, it would be unwise for Ross Lyon to have him loosely checked and forces him to almost play a purely defensive role on Davis.

I guess the thinking by Malthouse is that Leon Davis leads Collingwood for tackles inside their forward 50 area, and in round 22, Nathan Brown struggled to handle Buddy Franklin who is a very similar style of player to Nick Riewoldt in their mobility and height.

Both teams have made changes to make for an even more physical contest than we anticipated.

And having seen the teams, I am changing my thoughts on the game...

Do you think a more physical game would suit the Saints.

Im not suggesting the pies are soft just thinking the more 50fifty contests and ball ups there is may suit the Saints.

Who's going into the game slightly unfit for the Pies? Mr Ball?

Odds on him lining up on ThugLife Baker?

According to AFL Teams on Foxtel, if Saint Kilda win the premiership every player after the final siren will remove there away guernsey which they are wearing and replace it with the traditional St. Kilda guernsey for the Cup Presentation and lap of honour.

Correct.

Gotta feel a bit for big McAvoy. Was reasonable last week, and I seem to recall him playing in last years prelim before being dropped.

Gram also under a significant cloud. Very, very rare for STK not to go in with two ruckman, so I think there is still hope from McAvoy's point of view.

I am really surprised that Collingwood are such favourites. Before the finals started I felt these were the 2 best teams of the season (sorry Geelong fans) and that if they met in the GF it would be 50-50. Now it's like 70-30 if you believe the hype.

It's nothing against Collingwood because I think they are a great side and obviously deserve to be there. I just think St Kilda are due and have the players to get the job done.

Anyway, I am tipping the Saints in what would now be an upset by 11-20
In between signatures .....

That injury to Kosi makes things interesting.
He is gonna be hurting. A big mental challenge too, to play knowing you have severely shagged ribs and will be in pain for the next few weeks.
Of course, that will all wash away if they win the flag.
A gutsy effort but can he cope with the mental aspect?
