I think he's a good footballer yep. Do I love him. No, having said that he'd probably make my all time best Carlton side at Full Forward (sorry Soapy). He's got a problem when he drinks. No s***t. But despite being an idiot when he's pissed the only time he's ever got violent is when he put a Irish bartender in a head lock.

Has he smacked his missus ? Has he been done for Drunk Driving ? Has his car been shot at ? Has he kicked a cab driver in the groin and then punched him.

Nope.

But if it sells papers...play on....

I'm withs ya Jabber but it's getting too hot ... but I held them off for a while. x_x

Gotta run now :!! ... good luck!

Fev is a dinosuar but is fun to watch. I am sure no one else would want him at their club as he is a very lazy footballer (imagin what a player he could be if he had some discipline) and does so many dumb things off the field and I doubt Carlton will ever win a premiership with him. In saying all that he does provide a lot of entertainment whether you love him or hate him. If he ws plaing in the 70s nobody would even notice him.

Not his choice to get all the media attention. The media chooses what stories they run with. You wouldn't be saying this if he played for your team. Very easy to critisise..

Yes Fevola made a fool out of himself and looked silly, but I found it hilarious. IMO, the highlight of the AFL year. ;)

Very ordinary. Embarrassing for all involved. Everyone knows he's a knob and probably expect it from him though...

His encounter with Hird was cringe worthy (actually it all was...)...

He's an ok footballer, but too hot and cold to be a star. Carlton won't ever be a serious threat while relying on him...

A new club may be the answer. Some players stick around when it's just not good for them.

make the right decisions or whatever it was.

Also didn't like the way Today Tonight 'went after' Judd last night for being one of the 'faces of' think before you drink campaigns and asking him what he did to stop his friend from ending up like this.

Seriously - Fev is responsible for Fev's actions - Not everyone else around is responsible for Fevs actions.
I'm sure several people said something to him out of concern on Monday night,
he chose not to listen - actions = consequences.

It is a shame, becuase as they said on the footy show last night,
It seems he's not such a bad guy when it comes to dealing with children, charities and the like.
Well said.
Yes I thought she was very sensible, but I do wonder why she linked up with him and now puts up with him - he has always been the same..

He's always been the same from what you see on telly and what the media beat up.
By the sound of what you're saying you must be a long time friend of the family to know so much about what happens on a personal level between these 2.
You're coming across as one of those people that walks up to an actor, lets say Eric Bana, and says "hey Chopper" and when he tells you his real name you say, "that's not your name, you're Chopper"

I watched the footy show last night. You have to wonder what Ch 9 was thinking giving him the microphone anyway. Completely and utterly stupid. I'm sure their duty of care went out the window when they gave him the microphone.

Fev needs to give up the booze. He's obviously got a problem and needs help.

In comparison to other things that occur in the game (off field) I really don't think it's a big deal.

I must say i have no sympathy for Brendan ( KNOB ) Fevola.
This bloke shows no respect to anyone especially to his stunning missus Alex.
Carlton has given this KNOB so many chances & he continues to f..k up.
The Carlton Football Club today ain't the same strong Carlton of the 80s on & off the field, that strong successful club of the past would not hesitate today in sacking this wanker. Its no surprise to see the Carlton Footy Club where it is today & while that KNOB FEVOLA is still allowed to wear that proud Carlton jumper, this club will not taste success.

The beat up can't happen without him providing the triggers, which he has consistently done throughout his career.
I was speculating about what might interest a person, who on TV presents as an apparently sensible and mature woman, in an immature drunk.
I might just recognise Eric Bana, if I met him, but not one of his characters - I never saw "Chopper".
Your speculation is much wilder than mine, as there is some evidence to support my impressions...

Three-time Carlton premiership player Mark Maclure believes the Blues must trade Brendan Fevola if they want to be successful in the AFL.

Someone will have to one day, whether it's now or 5 years later when he retires ... I guess the sooner you start trying to find a replacement the sooner you have one.

Not saying they should trade him, but it could well have long term benefit if they do, who knows?

I agree with McClure. They could trade him for a very good medium sized forward who wouldn't be as one dimensional as Fev. You don't need an 80 goal a year goalkicker to win a flag. They rely too much on him and I believe that while he is at Carlton, they can't win a premiership.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

I agree completely with the idea FWIW.
The other query I have is why does the wife still hang around, I thought they'd split, apart from a reunion bang which has blown her out of proportion temporarily.
Can't she see he's a wank or is she a bit that way too?

Which leads to another query, who would be silly enough to pick him up?
