Collingwood v Adelaide - Semi Final

Talk on the national game

Losing Knights early really hurt, as many have noted he was the catalyst in our form turnaround with his 44 goals.

Some youngsters showed brilliant signs tonight while a certain couple of senior players showed that perhaps the pace of the game is catching up to them. Shattering result though after such a bright start. Special goal to Tippett from the boundary, and all for nothing. :(

FD - I agree. I said that to Crows supporting Mrs DW when he went off. His disposal, accuracy and just his run in a game like tonight were going to be crucial.
Maybe the two day factor was countered by him being missing.

Sorry, someone had to win.

One of the veteran trio has to go after tonight....the Crows can't afford for all three to go at the end of next year, too big a hole.

Now....after all of the great contests between these two sides in the past decade or so (in particular) will any Crows supporters actually give us some respect?

Any crows supporter would be mad not to acknowledge that Collingwood are our bogey team.

Here's my gripes for the night:

1) We over possessed the handball again, leading to our final disposal into the forward 50 to be under pressure and we ****** it up.

2) Senior players failed with disposal at critical times, mind you, so did Collingwood.

3) How many times did the ball bounce right for Collingwood tonight? Every contest, the ball would take a deflection straight to a Collingwood player. Cast your mind back to first minute, ball bounces on the GOAL LINE backwards. We couldn't take a trick.

4) Harry O'Brien has a different set of rules to defend by. All night, he holds chops arms and when the time comes for the ump to dish out an evener, he pulls a free out for JOHN ANTHONY??!!! FFS!!!! It couldn't get any worse.

5) Please Geelong, smash the crap out of these hacks. If a forward line with Leigh Brown and John Anthony make a grand final it will be a disgrace.

Yes, BTW, I'm ******* peaking.

just got back from the G ... with a tear in the kids eyes :( :(

all I'll suggest is don't make stupid or hasty comments tonight....
We MUST.. MUST.. MUST keep Tippett, his performance was amazing and shows what talent he has for his age and size...

Again another injury to a key forward v Collingwood hurts us..
Burton last time.. Knights this time... we just have no luck against the Pies...

As disapointed as I am.. The boys have exceeded my expectations at the start of the year and with 5 first gamers this year along with Dangerfield / Mackay and Otten.. the future is a bright one...

For those who have said "I might not renew my membership"...
the club doesn't need supporters like you.. go support PORT.
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

BTW - let's hope Sizeable lad makes it back by Monday?????

He reckons yas were robbed too.

SCD - too write on Tippett. Yes, three of his goals were from frees but he works well to get into positions to earn them. And to kick that crunch goal from that position shows his talent.

I agree TB.
I would think all of that possession and getting no benefit from it tired them out.
That's just as defensive as what Craig did in the third quarter.

devastated. was at my footy clubs B & F tonight and have never seen the mood of a room change more quickly. Strong memories of Aus V Italy at 2006 world cup. I have come out on the wrong end of both those decisions
