You have to hand it to Geelong 'cos their first and second round picks have improved markedly since the days of..........

Foster, Bray, Spriggs, Street, Clarke, McKay, Woolnough, Brockman, Bennett in the '96 to '99 period

ACK! Thanks for the memories. Out of that lot Woolnough did his knee and didn't get the chance to shine and Spriggs had a huge 2001 but got hurt and never regained that zip that he had. It's fairly hard to defend the rest though. It's fair to say that the period 1996-99 wasn't a great time to be a Cat.

Rookie forward/ruckman Daniel Stewart will be elevated to the senior list for 2010.

The 199cm Stewart, 20, impressed with North Adelaide over the second half of the SANFL season, culminating in a four-goal Elimination Final effort.

Lobbe has come along well with Westies. I would expect him to have first crack with Brogan with Reddan being 3rd at the moment.
Reports are Lobbe and Redden are in front of him.

Fair dinkum how hard is it? If the same recruiter is still at the club he's obviously redeemed himself and if he got the arse once again the right move was made in leiu of the selections that have been made this decade. Stephen Wells is a recruiting genius but I'm not sure if he was in charge during the late nineties. If he was he goes from being a recruiting genius to someone who was quick to learn from previous error. Either way there was no need for me to be sarcastic or be defensive.

You do realise Blinky that when people say LOL or chuck in a smiley that someone might not be firing back at you an acidic tone? Roll your eyes at that.

Tom Harley will finish up later today
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.
