ROUND SEVEN FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. Booney
Parko vs. Reignman
Woggy vs. Hammo
Cub vs. Gingernuts
Carlos vs. Bleu Boy
The Wog vs. The Real Number 3
Trunky vs. Pup
SBJAC vs. Mighty Eags

Scores of over 2000 were few and far between last week after several high scoring Crows players bombed out in the West. Troy 'Hammo' Hamilton's Poo, er Poon Army managed the high score of the week by thrashing the previously in form FOOTY LEDGENS coached by the Cub. Hammo racked up 2166 and has shown considerable faith in Priddis and was well rewarded. Yours truly cleaned up Reignman's Team Bring It with 2028 to be the only other coach to get past the 2000 mark. The performance of the season however was recorded by 'Mighty' Crows who became the first Hogg Shield coach to get under the 1000 for the year. Eags' score of 963 meant that Trunky's wonder elephants coasted home by over 1000 points. I reckon there's a tank going on here boys! This week's match is the long awaited Pup vs. Trunky clash with the winner to be afforded outright Hogg favouritism as both Mr Football and Wonder Elephants both boast the perfect 6-0 record for the season. The current league ranking for the Hogg is 3887, down for the second week in a row. Come on boys, time to lift your game!

Round 6 High Score: 2166 (Hammo)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 6 Low Score: 963  (Mighty Eags)
Season Low Score: 963 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. Carlos II
Cub II vs. blood5
Nathan vs. Shan
finn vs. Luke
REB II vs. Tom Hafey
Carey vs. Benny Boy
Hearts on Fire vs. Reignman II
Punk Rooster vs. Jared

It was a similar story in the Magoos with scores well down across the board. A big exception to this rule was Nathan's Bird of Prey who swooped on Luke regardless of the bribe situation. Bird of Prey managed an impressive 2218 which put every other Hogg side in both divisions to shame. In this division Bens Gorillas and West Coast Eagles have continued a mini renaissance but the ethos of the revolution has escapted Punk Rooster who held on to his undefeated status by recording a ONE POINT victory of Reignman's Black Magic. When Reigny gets some luck look out everyone I reckon. This week the big clash in the second div is probably when Cub takes on bloodstainedangel5 (3rd vs. 5th). Another key game is between two coaches who have talked the talk but not walked the walk in this comp in myself and T Shirt Tommy Hafey. The loser of our match could well be considered the St Kilda of the league. The second division went up again up to the 6000's to 6676 so this league is getting more competitive all the time.

Round 6 High Score: 2217 (Nathan)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 6 Low Score: 1185 (Carlos)
Season Low Score: 1082 (Shan)

Looks like Punk Rooster isn't quite ready for the rigours of the first division yet. Don't worry Punky, there's still plenty of time for plenty of clangers in the finals. Did you get up or what?

In the ones I scored bugger all and almost got rolled by Booney but in the Magoos I flogged Tommy Hafey.

ahem- still unbeaten REB....
Don't worry, Johnson might be back on the slops (& playing better footy for it), but he'll f**k up, be back to being a Cornsey, & produce donuts...

Looking forward to your Monday wrap up of both divisions...

ROUND EIGHT FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. Carlos
Parko vs. The Wog
Woggy vs. Trunky
Cub vs. SBJAC
Gingernuts vs. Mighty Eags
Hammo vs. Pup
Reignman vs. The Real Number 3
Booney vs. Bleu Boy

A big spread of scores were witnessed in the seventh round of the Hogg with several players topping the 2000 mark last week. Top of the tree is Troy ‘Hammo’ Hamilton who’s Poo Army knocked off Dave ‘Woggy’ Crossely by recording a 2286 to 2173 victory. Woggy a bit unfortunate there to lose with such a high score. Reignman bounced back last week racking up an impressive 2277 points to remain in the eight and the premiership favourite has been confirmed as Pup as Mr Football ended Trunkys Wonder Elephants’ winning streak to stand alone atop the ladder. This week Hammo as the reigning premier faces one of his toughest challenges in his premiership defence as he takes on a white hot Pup in the match of the round. It will be interesting to see how the master coach faces the challenge of suspended players against the reigning premier who infuriatingly selected Steve Johnson just in time to scam his first decent score of the year (arsey prick). The Hogg’s ranking went up to 3681 last week an improvement of 200 places. So who is the weakest link? On last week’s form it has to be Bleu Boy who racked up a decidedly unimpressive 1329 points. Keep up the shit work ha ha.

Round 6 High Score: 2286 (Hammo) – 2nd week in a row.
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 6 Low Score: 1329 (Bleu Boy)
Season Low Score: 963 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. REB II
Cub II vs. Carey
Nathan vs. Hearts on Fire
finn vs. Punk Roosters
Luke vs. Jared
Shan vs Reignman II
blood5 vs. Benny Boy
Carlos II vs. Tom Hafey

It was a very high scoring round in the Magoos with several coaches passing the 2000 mark. finn’s Chardonnays top scored for the week with an impressive 2224 points and Reignman has a good week in the Magoos as well with a score of 2205 in his game. Punk Rooster continues to dominate even though he dropped Steve Johnson last week and remains undefeated. Not too far away are Nathan and Habib who’s Habib’s Boys are looking a strong chance for promotion at the end of the season. Fevalenko is this week’s dud with 1496 points to provide Punk Rooster with some barely needed percentage. This week’s match of the round is between my own Straycat Strut and Habib’s boys in one of only two matches that pits two top eight sides against each other. The Magoos ranking has risen yet again to 5940, up a massive 736 places from last week.

Round 6 High Score: 2224 (finn)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 6 Low Score: 1496 (Jared)
Season Low Score: 1082 (Shan)

I have Johnson the Teetotaller, who fails to break 60 each week- I trade him, he hits the turps & bang, 160 followed by another ton tonight?!

98 tonight Punky. Ablett got me 360 as skipper in both leagues so you have to be happy with that. Also stoked with Scotty Thompson who racked up 82 in the backline for me which is more than Chad Cornes has managed since he has come back into the side with his hand injury.
