2007 AFL Grand Final Geelong v Port

Talk on the national game

Re: 2007 AFL Grand Final Geelong v Port

As I posted after the first week of the finals Geelong will either win it or lose it. Doesn't matter how well Port play Port will only win if Geelong have a shocker and lose it...

Cats by 6 goals
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

carn the power

Postby malleebull » Wed Sep 26, 2007 10:50 am

It pleases me greatly to know that the result of Saturday's game has brought
so much joy to so many people...........its just nice to be able to sit down knowing the beautifull people of the world are
brimming with happiness and excitement. Have we all noticed how the grass is greener, the sky is bluer and the sun just seems to just glow with warmth and comfort?? This tends to happen when the planets all fall into line and influence the tumbling of the worlds variances............... but more
importantly the mighty Port Adelaide Football Club !!

Have we ever seen a more determined, courageous, skillfull, outfit than
those marvelous boys from the Port? The poor old Kangaroos were just plain
and simply blown away by the efforts of every Port player that walked onto
the park.

We have been told all year by the ferals of the state ( Crows supporters)
that Tredrea is gone, Lade is finished,Rodan cant play, Wakelin is too old
and Williams cant coach !!

WRONG !!

Down Alberton way we have listened all year to Neil Craig explain how his
team has just had a "great learning experience" after each loss and that
they will "grow as a group" every time they get belted. We at Port Adelaide
prefer to gain our "great learning experiences" through our victories and
"grow as a group" by making Grand Finals. This is how we "learn" and
"grow"............far better method I would suggest.

While I am sure all Crows supporters will be wearing their Cats scarf &
beanies this weekend living their lives through another team (because their
own mob are akin to the Titanic with the amount of players bailing out) we
will head to the "G" full of confidence and pride knowing they we are in
fact "the team for all South Australians that like to win" !!!

Losing is not an option..........we do not believe in the Neil Craig theory
of learning from our losses and growing as a group through
losing.............we just believe in winning.............plain and
simple.........losing is overrated......losing has nothing to
offer.............leave that for "the team for all South Australians that
like losing"..............some make a career out of losing......we prefer
winning !!

If you cant make it to the game,
make sure you sit down Saturday arvo, charge your glasses, and raise them in
admiration and respect for the mighty Port Adelaide Football Club. Take time
to watch the game and absorb greatness as it unfolds before your very
eyes..........take in the atmosphere and delight in the achievements of the
greatest football club in the world...........for we are Port
Adelaide............and we will do us all proud !!!

What has the GF got to do with Crows or Neil Craig???? You're in the GF now and we've come 8th so get the chip off your shoulder

Enjoy your day in the sun on Saturday and may the best team win but FFS just be happy with what your team has achieved and forget about us for a change!

It looks like a cust & paste effort don't know if you are the author of those fighting words

No matter what the result on Saturday Mallee one thing will remain the same............
Port Adelaide is, and will always be, the second side in South Australia.
No matter how many flags you win you will never be anywhere near the level the Crows are at supporter wise. And why is that...........because you are bloody Port Adelaide and 80% of South Australia hates you.
More people hate Port Adelaide than love em fella, I'm guessing arogant, ill-informed people like yourself are probably the major reason why.
The truest indication of that is within SA this weekend there will be more people barracking for Geelong than you clowns. Time they put a rabbit proof fence around Alberton and kept you gooses where you belong, in your own geto.

i guess you need a second fav team to support at this time of year cause the cows just dont seem to be able to make it this far with the current crop an coach. Enjoy being a temp cats fan for the day and hope like hell that we dont win cause your mob will hear all about it if we do. but then again you will prob tell us that we won back 2 back even though it was last century. Have a good weekend and keep ya fingers crossed and the chardy cold Carn the Power 8)

whats wrong with gettig behind ya team. As a port supporter i am pumpped that we are in the GF and hope like hell we win it but what shits me is crows supporters bagging us when their own team is crap and not in the hunt for a flag. Go for the cats but they prob dont want you on their bandwagon either. All we have been hearing for the last 3-4 months is that geelong already have the flag sown up so as a port fan i will be cheering like hell if we do happen to pinch their flag. Hope its a good game and look forward to the banta next week which ever way the game goes.

It appears to be Port supporters bringing Crows supporters into this though - that doesn't make sense.

(Not a Crows or Port supporter BTW, just making an observation).

Do worry Girth, speaking for myself, I will continue to Bag the smears regardless of where you find yourselves on the ladder. Don't go kidding yourself dude, Crows supporters bag you lot in good times and bad.
I barrack for two sides Girth, The mighty Adelaide Crows and however happens to be playing Port Power, and this weekend one of my teams is playing.
