Not a terrible idea by North. They are light on in the ruck stakes, so a bit of back up is a reasonable selection.

Be more to play forward I suspect, Souv badly needs some help up there. Zurhaar has been playing the 2nd tall role.

The "two worst swear words" was alluded to. I'd say "F" followed by "C's" would be a reasonable assumption.

effin isnt really even classed as a swear word anymore, remember you used to get locked up for using it for offensive language, (long time ago) now it doesnt even reach court

He's not. He'd learn if he was.

The AFL can't investigate it then walk past it with a suspended sentence over his head.

If they do on the basis that he just yelled it but not at anyone, what do they do if I just yell a homophobic slur "into the air"?

Exactly.
Who he directed it at is irrelevant here due to his history.

Yeah I agree, hence the laughing face.
Just reckon he will still be cleared, just what the AFL do for people like him from clubs in Victoria.

Public flogging with a wet lettuce is more than justified, together with a mandatory sentence of wearing a swear collar.

The AFL wrote to Clubs yesterday following feedback received over a few weeks regarding the interpretation of holding the ball and how it is being officiated.

The AFL Football Department and Head of Officiating Steve McBurney continue to have open dialogue and visits with Clubs and Coaches.

These discussions assist the coaches in understanding how the umpires officiating the rules, whilst also give our umpiring department an insight into how players are being coached.

It has become clearer throughout the season that in discharging their duty of care whilst executing a tackle, tacklers are positively electing not to take tackled players to ground in the tackle or are generally doing so in a reasonable way including by not using excessive force. As a consequence, we are seeing players hold onto the ball slightly longer and challenging the definition of “reasonable time”.

Our umpires are clear on the interpretation of holding the ball and it continues to be a focus of umpire coaching each week. We want to ensure our Clubs, Coaches and Players understand the rules and how they are being officiated.

Examples were provided to Clubs clarifying one aspect of holding the ball - reasonable time.

The five examples in the clips were the subject of umpire training last night and were shared with Football Departments and Senior Coaches.

The first three examples are where umpires are expected to award a free kick for holding the ball.

The final two examples are where umpires are expected to call play on.

Couldn't agree more. And the microphones. Three umpires, no numbers and no ******* microphones. The nearest umpy calls the free. Won't happen though.

Clarkson would have to get some suspension.
It's what he said not who he said it to.
On the sporting field especially if you are an umpire, being called a cheat is way worse than being called a vagina.
Either way, take your 2 games and learn.
