With salary cap space I'm not sure why we're not exploring this option.

Treloar has said he wants to stay in Melbourne and to be traded to a club in contention

I think the main reason he wants to stay in Melb is that his missus contract up in Queensland is only for 12 months so if he went to a QLD club on a 2 to 3 year deal he could find in October next year his missus is back in Melb then he is stuck in Qld

Yeah and netball isn’t ‘full time’ anyway is it?
She’d fly home for a couple of days a week anyway wouldn’t she?

I’m sure Eddie could work something out otherwise

Hope Port don't cave in on Bombers demands for Fantasia , feel he is someone we don't really need with the kids coming through ie Williams , Bergman , Mead plus still have Woodcock who plays small forward role . Based on his last couple of years feel at most Fantasia worth pick 28 or preferably believe a 3rd rounder should be enough

He'll end up with Collingwood paying a min 50% and he ends up at geelong

Doubtful I’d think. Collingwood will still want a good first for him and Cameron will drain most of the Cats trade chips and cap. Still got to get Higgins in also.
Collingwood only want to pay about $100k of his salary also. I still reckon the Dogs will have the most trade capital with what they get from us in the Dunkley deal

Not old enough to be recruited to Geelong

I guess Gary Rohan may like to be traded now.

Collingwood are not getting a decent pick for him.
They will be lucky to get a 2nd round pick.
It will go down pretty much like the Akermanis trade from Brisbane to Bulldogs. Trade me where i want to go or ill stay.
Pies obviously cant afford him.
The biggest issue is with Treloar wanting to go to a contender, he will have to take a massive pay cut for any of them to fit him in.

Geelong offered 2 of their 1st round picks 13, 15 and 20 to GWS who knocked it back wanting all three or two of them and a player from Geelong.

Hope we knock it back. I'd rather we get serious and bring the list age right down but it looks like we are going to be Dad's army once again. If we go a full length season and long quarters it's another Prelim smashing at best for us. Cameron is a quality player but I'd hate to see us sell the farm for him. If we do that then the cliff that everyone has been saying is inevitable for us about ten years now becomes a reality.

REB

Wouldn't get too many games I reckon. Their best 22 looks pretty handy. Back up for Paddy (obvs).

You keep beating the system but anyone watching on must think it's inevitable a fall comes.
