How did he ever get that job as chief footy writer???

He is awful on Fox too. Tries to get too excited and gets lost on the panel.

The one where he was saying Konstanty ignored Stephens at the death was really stupid.

Clark reckons handballing to the left footed Stephens, who then has to go inboard with a Lions player right behind him was the option.

Stephens should have shepherded for Konstanty to keep running and put it deep to I think Darling at the top of the square.

You were going well until you mentioned Darling

Or has it turned into an opportunity to listen to him and his people and we don't like that?

I think its more just a case of the levels of distrust anything the AFL spits out.

Rioli gets in trouble for sending aggressive/abusive texts to opposition players. AFL initially try and sweep it under the rug, until more stories come out, eventually suspended.

Move forward another week and the story coming out coincidentally just as we hit 'Sir Douglas Nicholls Round' is that Rioli's actions were a direct response to all the racism he has faced in the AFL industry. This may well be true, we would not be surprised and it shouldn't be accepted if true however the timing of the 'revelation' obviously has people questioning how factual it is.

Lets not kid ourselve Rioli returning in Sir Douglas Nicholls Round as a player who was suspended for a pretty big incident vs Rioli returning as a player who is the epitome of why the AFL needs to focus on indigenous round is a much better story for them heading into the week.

The distrust in everything the AFL do and how they spin everything sadly takes away from the message and the opportunity that we should be listening.

Kochie seems to have reopened discussion on it this morning, not sure if that is helpful or not.

DIllon spoke yesterday and was asked the direct question - is he fearful that Willie may give the game away - he avoided it like a politician, this guy is way out of his depth, way too scared of making a mistake.

Indigenous players on AFL lists is at a worrying low currently, Dillon needs to be bold and answer simple questions like this and be strong, Im sure everyone would appreciate a CEO being more forthright, especially around issues like this.

Dillon is a lawyer, first and foremost. He'll always have his client's interest at the forefront, in this case, the AFL.

He has zero leadership qualities, he's like a muppet come to life, Pinocchio-style. He makes Woolies brand vanilla ice cream seem like an exotic and extravagant delicacy.

If true (no idea whether it is or not), why wasn’t it reported at the time to allow the AFL to act.

Didn’t he say it was cultural disrespect
Is that racism still? Or not?

Racism is racism, casual or not. Especially when it is used to justify actions in response.
Staggered this has not been made a bigger deal of with Bailey Dale considering the rhetoric from Port on why Willie behaves/behaved like he did.

I remember years ago about someone “being on the turtle” that created a storm.

*I know who the people involved were but have chosen not to say so I don’t upset anyone. It’s not my intention. At the time I would not have thought that is offensive but what I find offensive is not what others do.
