FWIW have you ever considered that maybe It's not the number of gameplans but execution that is a problem? BTW how many game plans does Hawthorn have? 3 flags in a row indicate something works ok for them.

And if you can't execute the coaches game plan(s) in to his 4th year after being successful for the first 2 then you have some issues.

So therefore Melb, NM, St K,Richmond, Fremantle, Sydney, GWS, Gold Coast, Adelaide,Collingwood, Essendon etc should all sack their coaches as well?

How many of those teams have had their results go consistently backwards over the last 18 months after being successful from the start? Richmond, Collingwoods decisions are a big risk. The others I hardly see your argument apart from Adelaide who did sack their coach...

I have an opinion that's hardly controversial mate, their results have been rubbish with what looks a pretty good list. Port could turn it around from here and good luck to them if they do.

Not controversial, just unbalanced. Only one team is successful each year, that doesn't mean the rest failed..

I'm not going to bother mate you're clearly missing the point. Just time to start consistently winning I reckon with your list.

No argument from me there. I might wait until at least maybe round 6 or 7 before I start agreeing to sack coaches if that's ok with you.

Didn't you predict that Port wouldn't ever get 30,000 to Adelaide oval?

No I didn't.

I Said it was a Hail Mary plan that will patch over some major cracks for approx 3-5 seasons.

No oval will change the fact port fans are frontrunners.

Keep watching !!!

Thanks for sharing we all value your opinion so highly

So obvious isn't it

Nearly as obvious as it was to everyone except for port fans that they weren't anywhere near as good as they thought they were!!

Apparently west end are getting their tarps ready again!!

not an issue I'll keep you updated.

I also tried to tell you KT was just rhetoric with bigger words that ultimately meant nothing.

Good to see you guys are catching up on that one.

I wouldn't panic just yet if I were a Port fan. Polec is lost without White on the other wing, trying to cover both so they need to help him out there. Hartlett was a big out in the back line but you should be able to put another player in his role to cover him. Dixon needs a few games in the structure to get going but he got exposed with Schulz out. Gray, while very very good, tries to do too much (and usually succeeds in doing so). Wingard if out with a hammy will hurt. Boak looks a little out of sorts but should work into the season.
You've got a player in Sam Gray...prolific ball winner. Maybe just not in the right spots on the ground though.
IMO your main problem is your key backs in Carslile and Trengrove. They look very slow.

MW's right. It's a long season, as with every year, and I for one wouldn't write off Port just yet.

Better to start slow and come home with a wet sail that to hit top form early and peter out, which is why the follow up Showdown is worth winning - securing a win in a finals-like atmosphere not far out from the finals.

Add Jonas to that list as well. All to big and not agile enough. I'm going to throw it out there, Any chance of John Butcher holding down a 2nd or 3rd tall defender role in the backline. Has reasonable closing speed on the pack and isn't the slowest at ground level. Have to try something with him.
