Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

As each day goes by the crows are looking more and more in the shit.

Starting to think stripped premierships may be on the cards more and more, there is no way the AFL is going to want the crows to go on and win next years premiership!!!

Especially considering the crows are going to have the advantage of getting a complete draft knowing they will probably have shite draft picks the next couple of years.

Extremely unlikely that they will lose premiership points.

Substantial fine, and loss of draft picks, much more likely.

I agree it's more likely but if there is multiple players involved plus the advantage the crows have of getting this complete draft In.

You can be sure as hell the AFL will not want salary cap cheats to win the premiership straight away

I sincerely believe they'd be more worried about a fall in crowds due to minus premiership points, than they would be the possibility of them winning the flag next year.

Very possible, will be interesting to see what happens with crowd attendances, will this all be forgotten by football season or will there be a drop off with people angry at the club!

If they won their first 2 games by 10 goals, I suspect it would be all forgotten.

Not now they have dodged the decision before this draft.

I'm more convinced they will start this season with negative points.

Otherwise it will set a nasty precedent for future cap cheats.

You have to wonder when the Crows made the statement "they couldnt wait for monday to get a chance to tell their side of the story". Was there another unwritten caveat to that bs statement they planned to 48 hours later pull a well timed adjournment .

More lies and deception.

So it's either Kurt Tippett begged adelaide to underwrite extra side deals and ease of his transfer if required in 3 seasons. Because he didnt want to go home and really would of done anything to stay in adelaide in 2009 ????

Or crows told tippett they were willing to underwrite side deals, promise to trade Tippett to his club of choice in 3 years.as long as he stayed in 09 as the club thought they were on the cusp of a flag and desperately wanted Tippett to stay.

Gees it's real toss of the coin stuff ??

If Dangerfield is involved in secret deals, do crows fans still want Tippett deregistered/banned?

Short answer is yes. Would personally like the afl to release a list of players with 3rd party deals e.g. Daisy Thomas and Adam Goodes with Cadbury. Would put an end to a lot of this rumour and innuendo.

Nothing wrong with 3rd party deals if they are done correctly, not diverting club sponsor money. Sanfl fans should be pissed off about this.

Is there a difference between a 3rd party deal from a club sponsor/board members business to a player and a deal diverting sponsor money from a club to a player? Look like the crows went the dumb option of missing out on its own sponsor money to pay a player.

I bet 17 AFL clubs are madly shredding documents and deleting emails regarding 3rd party deals

That's what I'm hearing

Are you hearing it from the same place I am? Some more quality journalism from The Age and Emma Quayle. The article that claims in the first
ADELAIDE will participate in next week's national draft after successfully seeking an adjournment of the AFL Commission's hearing into the serious salary cap and draft tampering charges it faces, as the league's probe widened to examine a third-party payment to midfield star Patrick Dangerfield.

And then in the eighth paragraph
The deals for Dangerfield, Tippett and van Berlo were lodged with the AFL and approved by the league, and Fairfax Media is not suggesting any wrongdoing by the players, or that Adelaide exceeded its salary-cap allowance.

So Emma who’s name are you pulling out of the hat for tomorrows article? The article that you just recap what you have written the past week with a new name added.

I would hope that ALL 3rd party deals are now being examined by the AFL. As I mentioned earlier I bet 17 AFL clubs are madly shredding documents and deleting emails regarding 3rd party deals.

Money paid by sponsor to club diverted to player is salary cap money. Money paid to player by company not involving club is not salary cap money.

So Visy are not involved with Carlton at all? Visy just thought Judd would be a good environmental ambassador and would be happy to pay him $200K even if he didn’t play for Carlton. Visy Carlton and Pratt is there a link in these names?

Yes but the AFL approved the Judd deal, they were not doing it sneakily
Everyone except the AFL and Carlton were dead against it at the time.
