I think Wingard is the main one Port need improvement from, but by no means the only one.

Should Wingard, Hartlett, Boak, Polec, White, Westoff, Monfries play as they did in 14' (or have teammates do it for them) then Port are a genuine contender for mine. Lobbe declined a lot since then, but you have Ryder now, and Dixon has the ability to replace Schultz, it just remains to be seen whether he can deliver big seasons. You need him to turn out more like Riewoldt than Koscitzke in terms of output (not comparing him in abilities and attributes as such).

There's good kids in the mix, and I didn't bother with Gray or Wines because they already have the level of consistency the others need to find.

There's enough guns there, surrounded by natural improvers, to be optimistic, it's just a case of who can deliver.

Alright, here we go. Dont be too harsh on me please booney

I could only find room for 7 port players in my combined team. I used the AFL.com.au "projected" teams

Brown Hombsch Lever
Smith Talia Laird
Gray Crouch Boak
Lynch Walker Wingard
Betts Jenkins McGovern
Jacobs Sloane Wines

Hartlett Ryder Atkins Cameron

Pittard and B Crouch miss due to injury
Westhoff - reckon mcgovern and lynch have him coverd
Trengove - poor man's talia really. Went with Hombsch instead
Ebert - went with the pace and ball use of Atkins and Cameron
Broadbent - stiff to miss but isnt ahead of laird smith or pittard
Polec - could easily have him instead of atkins or cameron.

You can also make a case that Ryder misses as you dont need to play two rucks

And yet you found round room for Hartlett in there Benny. Would be a dozen Port players who should get the nod ahead of him

Interesting you have Charlie Cameron - you must really rate him.
What role would he play for you? Bloke who averages around a dozen disposals and less than 2 goals a game..

Anyway, done well - not a bad looking side.. you picked the best 22.. but I asked you who you would not want at the Crows, not who fits in your best 22 :P

Which players if the Crows said they were targeting to recruit would you say "eww no way!" e.g. Jake Neade - I just dont see him as an AFL footballer.

With Boak's deteriorating form of recent years, I don't think he'd make this combined side.

Gray is not a wingman, he'd start in the midfield.
