Maybe Essendon are going to come and say they will withdraw from the first two rounds of this years draft ;)

No great suprise he stood down it has been thought that for awhile now
After the Ziggy report someones head had to roll.
Reckon Robson has taken one for the team, probably spared the jobs of guys higher up the chain

Apart from Evans, who's higher than Robson?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

CEO of an AFL club on what, $400k pa?

Chance of him getting another gig paying that much again soon? Slim I'd think under these circumstances.

Nobody would walk from that role without very, very good reason.

Hird, Thompson perhaps
Its still a bit of a boys club at Essendon, find it a massive co-incidence that Evans, Hird and other Essendon people are washing their hands of the situation yet the the only non Essendon person has fallen on his sword.
As a token gesture Evans has declared he will stand for re-election at seasons end with 2 years remaining. From what I understand he will be voted back in unopposed and he has the support of 90% of the members.
No doubt in my mind Robson has been made the scapegoat

Maybe he was pushed or got a nice little payout.
Has offered his resignation several times since January so who knows

Ray Gunston named as interim CEO.
Should make the media happy as he is a mate of Evans and was on the board of tattslotto and sigma pharmaceutical so he should fit in well
I believe he is also father of Jack Gunston

Jobe was one of the handfull of players who didnt take part in the supplement program, he has no case to answer with ASADA

But all the players giving him the ball were so he should do the right thing and give the medal to Trent Cotchin if his team mates are found guilty.

One of Cotchin's team mates is reportedly on his last strike for recreational drug use so that counts him out aswell.
Mitchell was 3rd but Buddy is alledgedly on the gear, Thompson was 4th but the Crows are salary cheats, Swan was next but he has been linked to drugs in the past.
Looks like Lenny Hayes wins it by default ;)

Cheers Jim wasn't looking for a rise it was a genuine question mate .... BUT surley this would have to come into consideration when they are looking at contracts for players that were involved ?? How many more bombers are needing to be resigned before the end of the year ??

Think we have about a dozen that will be uncontracted at seasons end, most of the better players are locked away for between 2 and 4 more years

And who is that tiger? Big accusation to make considering you come from a club that takes performance enhancing drugs to finish outside the 8.

I think its well known in Melbourne who that Tiger is, the club suspended him last year for being on the piss and sleeping through training. LOL at a Richmond fan bagging another club about missing the 8

I would love to know the reasons why the best player at the club was not part of a program that was, I assume, put in place to aid performance.

Maybe only a handful of players read the fine print? ;)
