Heeney's influence on a game is so much more than Curnow

I don't think you will.
Player wants out, you will get unders. You have enough trouble getting players on the park before you start keeping players who don't want to be around.

Of course we will get unders and that’s why I said we will get something half decent not decent.
The club spent on a lot on him at various specialists here and overseas and no one as of yet can fix him.

Carlton is set to appoint highly-rated Port Adelaide football manager Chris Davies as its new football boss in a massive boost for the Blues next season.

The Herald Sun revealed earlier this month he was Carlton’s number one target and the Blues are almost certain to land their man for 2026 after weeks of talks.

It means Davies will head up Carlton’s football department for next season after a long stint at Port alongside former coach Ken Hinkley.

But in a blow for Port he will not be working alongside new coach Josh Carr next season, pending a last minute backflip.

Carlton senior figures are extremely confident of signing Davies although it is understood he is yet to confirm his final decision with the Power.

His departure will mean considerable change for the Power this summer who will lose the two most senior figures of the club’s football department as well as former captain Travis Boak and assistant coach Chad Cornes.

Davies, a former South Australian cricketer who previously lived in Melbourne, is set to return to Victoria to help the Blues rise up the ladder next season.

It would be a significant addition for new Carlton CEO Graham Wright who is on a mission to provide more support around Voss.

Voss is in his last year of a contract next season.

Davies would replace former footy boss Brad Lloyd.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

The Koch, Richardson, Davies, Hinkley time needed to come to an end. That definition of insanity?

I agree with the notion good clubs are built around stability but there's a use by date too. With Carr in his third year back at the club after a previous stint he's hardly a new kid on the block, this means we're seeing change while maintaining some stability in Koch and Richardson at the top and Carr in the seat as Head coach.

I'm not sure happy is the word, satisfied he did all he could to get us to the last Saturday of the year but time for change has come and I'm excited for the new era, new ideas, new plans that we'll see in place. Like anyone at any club we're merely custodians for a time then someone else gets their chance to make a mark.

Getting rid of Davies is more important to Port than flicking Ken IMO. Davies seems toxic.

Surely Adelaide don't need him?

Why are you happy to see him go?

Tex will retire either this year or next. He fills that void and chops out OBrien in the ruck leaving Thilthorpe permanent forward.
