F'd if I know either. But really footy, whilst being his job, would be the furthest thing from his mind.

“I’m not using injuries as an excuse”
and then proceeds to rattle off 5 players who are missing.

Yeah, not as if we haven’t got any injuries either

I’m surprised tredders can count to 5

Tredders was 100% correct with his statements for years with Port Adelaide, he has toned down the criticism over the last 2 years however tonight was dead set embarrassing. Port Adelaide have been inconsistent for over a decade and when it REALLY matters they lose crucial games. They spent the entire minor round of 2020 on top of the premiership ladder and failed to make a GF - In fairness it deserves a reprieve with covid. The following 2 years they went down hill gradually and Hinkley should have been booted. What an absolute complete waste of talent.

For the record my club is rubbish.

Leaders? Unsighted.

Fitness an issue, couldn't finish Richmond off last week and haven't been willing or able to chase late. Some of that attitude and some looks to be conditioning.

I don't see the significance but if that's what makes you feel better then keep running with it.

I don't really think any Port supporter gets butt hurt over the footage.

This is about where I thought Port were, we'll beat up on the little kids when they don't have their friends around to support them but struggle when we're not in familiar territory.

I'll no doubt cop a heap of pathetic meaningless jibes today that are water off a ducks back as they'll be from some overweight 40 something wizard that won the coaches trophy in under 13's and is still riding high from it, the truth is that we're not playing prelims this year, our window has closed and we wasted what we had when we had the likes of Robbie and Boaky at the top of their games.

Injuries killed Port last night but so did their effort.
And dare I say attitude?

Start the Carr?

Any more performances like that and it’ll continue to come up.

Injuries are a reason but effort and attitude have to change and quickly

How is Carr going to deliver a different result? Surely he is sitting in the drivers seat already while Kenny has the emergency break and handbook out.

The players love Kenny, he is a genuine good bloke and mentor, we just don't have the cattle anymore and it's more evident when some of them aren't even in the paddock. We held on to B & C Graders for far too long yet we let the likes of Houston walk after absolutely scalding us and severely derailing our premiership campaign.

I respect Carr and what he has done elsewhere but we needed a clean out at the top if we wanted a different mindset, it will be the same message just coming form a different voice.

I agree 100%
Carr is not the answer
But that’s the path they’ve chosen so the quicker it starts the quicker you see if he’s any good.

Powell-Pepper ( has missed a year ) is off the pace and having no impact, Evans across half back looks like a kid with 15 games under his belt and other than Aliir and Georgiades we're bereft of any aerial talent at either end of the ground. Long season ahead.

Amazing what losing key players to injury does. Don’t remember the crows getting that excuse at the start of last year however.
There was no excuse for how ports leaders played up to three quarter time. Rozee 12 touches JHF 13 touches. You could see Ken giving it to Rozee on the bench and Both went crazy in the last but had no support and Essendon did as they please.

The alarming issue is the effort. Fitness? Conditioning? Disgruntled players with the coaching plan?

Full credit to Essendon, they simply worked harder, played for each other and wanted it more. In a world of sport science, stats, so-called elaborate match plans, etc, etc, those 3 simple things that won it for the Bombers never change in heavily influencing a result.

What's the actual issue in your eyes Massive? Interesting to hear from the other side of the lake.

On the same token, where do you see your guys in the pecking order currently? I think you're almost there, could probably do with another key defender, you have the forwards and the runners.

Admittedly I didn't pay much attention to the game as I was out, did they win or did Port lose?

It's frustrating being a Port supporter but geez it must be hard being a Bomber supporter, the difference between their best and worse is on par with ours.

I think its the same message from the same people year in year out that is not getting through anymore. Will Carr bring something different next year?
I think its some of the senior players are realising the window is closing fast on this list and while the kids are going to be great (Morales where did he come from?) its going to take some time for them to gel and come up to the standard and contend again.
I think its having a list that if it relies so heavily on a couple of key players, then for them to be hurt is the difference between winning and losing means there is no depth
I think its recruiting a flurry of B graders every year for the last 5 years thinking its going to be the difference in finals and now you're stuck with a list of B graders that need to play in key positions.

For my mob, we've played STK and Ess, players are on a high with a tweaked attacking game plan and no injuries ( 8) ) so ask me again in 6-8 weeks when we play some better sides. I think we've shown we can possibly grab 7th or 8th in the eight and Its fun to watch. My concern is our defence still. We let Ess kick 15 goals, and saints 10.
