It was good to see Hampton Cheney and and Ellis yeolman running around. And a few of the other younger lads did some nice things too.

But yes I agree that there wasn’t enough contested footy for mine

Don’t think so, genuinely look like they enjoyed it. Maybe after a long pre season it was good to play something a bit different

Watched a bit of it on TV. First thought was we do this at training weekly albeit without scoring. Play Keep offs in half of the ground for 2 minutes then rotate to defending for 2 minutes or resting. We usually split whatever numbers we have in 3 teams and basically end up on for 4 minutes resting for 2.
Maybe we should try and sell tickets to watch us train too!

And that's probably 100% right. Mind you, the players wouldn't dare pour piss all over Gil's specky new idea.

Perhaps they genuinely liked it, but were trying to get the taste of Brian Taylor's commentary out of their mouths.

Was that really the trophy they showed on the tv last night? That ugly cardboard X looking thing? Even the commentators were struggling to praise that haha.

After watching last night, my first thoughts were why didn't the AFL introduce this to the women's game. Would be a much better for their game while the men's game can be kept the same. Really, besides the grand final teams, players played 40 mins of midfield game-time last night. Better off going back to 3 pre-season games.

That's probably a really good point, think would've worked well with the women's game and could take games to boutique soccer stadiums around the country.

That will be the next thing mate, 3 way football, I used to set it up for training's when I coached, 3 sets of goals, 3 different teams playing at once, it developed defensive skills really well.

Yes it's a marvellous thing and a clear indication that the Crows will be unstoppable in 2018, I've had 'we are the Champions' playing on repeat since last night. Oh what a feeling!

Pleasingly we can also lock Port into a bottom 4 finish on last nights showing. Happy days all round!

Didn't they trial a 3-sided game of footy back in 2016? That would be interesting. AFLX is dead already. If you want me to watch a game at Hindmarsh, I going to watch Adelaide United or NRL. Everything else is a waste of time.

I'm not sure.

I get what you're putting down, I'm heading to the Aquatic Centre next Friday to watch the Power take on the Eagles.

Makes sense, the game's already got three stumps.

Three different teams in one game.
