Played u18s footy at the age of 12. While still considered by essendon to be too young to play senior footy despite training with them preseason, he went back to play for Hastings where he kicked 296 goals in 37 games!

WHAT A HACK!!

We don't deserve to be regarded as a premiership threat.

Dont agree, lost 3 games by under a kick. Yes it was a bad loss on the weekend, the Saints looked switched on from the start and were just too good on the day. We have seen some massive improvement from players this season and the game plan is far better, all the players are more defensive minded and we dont get scored upon as heavily as the past.
Still havnt got the depth of other sides so need close to our best side on the park to match it with the best. Still hoping we can get through this next patch with a few wins and play finals.

Maybe if the coach had instilled an ounce of defensive pressure into the guys he would still have a job.
All well and good when we had the ball but when the opposition had it out defensive pressure was apalling.
We had too many big scores against us under Knights, he needed to find the happy medium.

It is a heritage guernsey and has the name of every Essendon premiership player written on it.
It was released in honour of John Coleman and features his name and signature on the front.
Have ordered one already

Now there is the most over rated player to ever play the game, didnt even qualify to have his son play at Essendon. The goal kicking should be named after someone from the AFL era, like Buddy, at least his kids have qualified father/son or Fevola or Modra or Lynch or Tredrea or even Minton-Connell all would be more worthy and relevant to the AFL era.

Are you for real?
Remarkable figures in an era where 10 goals would win you the game 9 times out of 10 and when fullbacks got away with king hits and rough play. Hardly ever got a free kick for goal where as thesedays the forward gets a free if he gets a fingernail in the back. Average of 5.5 over his career and goal less on only 1 occassion, sadly finished way too young but went on to be a great coach aswell. His input at Essendon and the VFL was enormous

Ken Farmer used to go ok

Jimbo you think Gumby is 1 injury away from being dropped off the list? Massive talent but how long can you carry him?

Essendon's record against Port Power is appalling. If they can't beat them tomorrow night I will quietly slink away and slit my wrists

I think they will persist with him for a year or 2 more at least, Hirdy cant say enough of how good he thinks he will be. He had a lot of back related issues which were misdiagnosed for years and caused him to miss a fair bit of footy. Finally he was diagnosed correctly and had back surgery which forced him to spend over a year out of footy. Since resuming in the VFL he has played 8 or 9 straight and by all reports fitter than ever. Hirdy still thinks we can get another 10 years out of him, lets hope so and we will have to wait and see
