Thought so. :D
Just need to tidy up the turnovers in the back half. Intensity still drops off in patches. Dont think top half this year but work in progress and no excuses next year

Yeah we just make some stupid and basic turnovers that results in goals. Reckon we were lucky to win or deserved it? Brothers reckon the umpires gave it to us, but I beg to differ obviously

The only shocker was the one to martin. If kangaroos had kicked straight it wouldnt have mattered. Poor goal kicking costs games

Just seen another replay of it mate, think the ump paid in the back, which if you have a look, could be there by the letter of the law.

Dusty Martin (who my supercoach side is named after) is an absolute superstar in the making, 25 games and he is a freak).... We are still 2 points ahead of where we thought where we would be.

You serious? Apart from Fraser the rest all played full seasons at their much higher credentialed clubs last year

Yeah I'm serious. Krakeour barely played a game last year for port. Brown is a competitor but no top liner. Bock is severly injury plagued and didn't play a full year last year. Brennan and harbrow are not top liners and far from it.

Brennan 18 games in 2010
Brown 17 games
Krakouer 7 games injured most year, 19 in 09
Harbrow 22 games
Bock 13 games

Hardly "struggle to get games with other sides"

I don't think that shows anything TBH mate. Krakeour can't even make GC side at the moment, so not sure how he is a top tier player for them. Harbrow although consistent in games (he did have his breakout year last year, finally delivering on his potential), but he is no top liner IMO. Think we need to agree to disagree

I saw Gavin Wanganeen in a reserves game at Footy Park, may have even been his first game.

Was really loose, particularly at stoppages, his opponent must have had 6 easy clearances. He just looked lazy as if he was owed a game & talent alone would do it for him. I didn't think he'd even cut it with the Magpies at that stage......................

I think he was about 15 when he first started playing Reserves, so probably fair enough to wait another couple of years.

When Nathan Bock made his debut I thought he was the worst player ever to play AFL footy. He's only really had one decent season, but no way did i ever expect him to get anywhere near All Australian status.

In the preseason I thought that Carlton hadn't improved and that they weren't a top four contender. After a rare win in Sydney and two highly competitive efforts against Collingwood and Geelong I have to admit I was w....w.....w.....w.....WRONG about the Blues.

I reckon that Duigan and Laidler have both been excellent acquisitions for Carlton as it was their backline that looked wonky last year. They are still a key tall down but Kreuzer I believe is playing in the magoos this week so they'll be keen to get some ks into his legs.

A key characteristic of a top four side is to win games when they are off and I believe Carlton has done this against Adelaide and St Kilda. The only real blip was the draw to Essendon and the fact that Carlton aren't kicking straight.

regards,

Can't speak for others, but he's right about Campbell Brown. Although he did play most of the games in the league team, Brown was on the cusp of being dropped for much of the season, really only keeping a spot due to injuries to other players. His form in 2010 was nowhere near that of previous years.

On behalf of Chris Scott - I was wrong taking the Geelong coaching role, instead of putting more time and effort into my presentation to Port - OMG.
