Will Carlton have the balls to sack him? Probably not, but the timing is perfect, trade week coming up in a weeks time...
Why should they? What's he done that most of us haven't? Channel 9 were happy to stick a mic in his hands, take the publicity and then leave him to hang. Don't they assume any responsibility here?
And as has been correctly pointed out, why isn't the Crown in the poo for serving an obviously drunk patron?
I know players earn good coin, but what a life for these poor bastards.
Interesting comment dedja..
Not only have I never done it, but I only ever knew personally one guy, aged 20 at the time, who actually got noticeably drunk in a public place.
[That's not counting an alcoholic cousin who died at 48 of Alcoholic Myocarditis - but he and I barely knew each other.]

I did once, in 1977 I think, wake up one morning and realise I didn't remember driving home.
I hadn't been noticeably drunk according to others who were at the event, but it prompted me to watch the wine waiters better in future.

Look, I take your point but if I started a poll on this forum about who has been legless like that at least once in their life I think there be a quite a few in the affirmative. If not saying it's right, but just the way it is.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Nope - never had one of those and I had a 260Z at the time...
I like sports cars and prefer to drive myself.
But, I do recall another occasion [between marriages] when I thought I shouldn't drive, so I had my date - a Social Worker - drive me home and tuck me in, as she'd left her car at my place anyway..

She does look vaguely familiar, but there were so many women and so little time in that era.. ;)
Seriously, it was a totally different culture, with women basking in their new sexual liberation in the days after the pill and before AIDS.

He deserves a kick up the Kyber but not sacked.

LOL, it was funny to watch though.

I thought she 'handled herself' quite well on the footy show footage last night O:)

Why should she let his antics upset her night,
Seemed like she was still willing to socialise and try to enjoy herself.
And I liked her comment something about him being 'an adult' and should be able to look after himself,
make the right decisions or whatever it was.

Also didn't like the way Today Tonight 'went after' Judd last night for being one of the 'faces of' think before you drink campaigns and asking him what he did to stop his friend from ending up like this.

Seriously - Fev is responsible for Fev's actions - Not everyone else around is responsible for Fevs actions.
I'm sure several people said something to him out of concern on Monday night,
he chose not to listen - actions = consequences.

It is a shame, becuase as they said on the footy show last night,
It seems he's not such a bad guy when it comes to dealing with children, charities and the like.

Cos they said they would publicly!! Stand by your word blues 8)

Exactly March 2008 -

Instead Swann threatened the trouble-prone spearhead that he would be sacked if he was involved in any more alcohol-related controversies.

"Brendan has had an issue with alcohol, everything that has happened to him thus far has been connected to alcohol," Swann said.

"We are seriously going to help him in that case and enrol him in some education and welfare courses.

"We have also agreed with Brendan that if there are any more alcohol-related incidents then that will result in him being terminated by the Carlton football club."

Fev has played the same card, does the CFC have the balls to make the next move or fold...

I think he's a good footballer yep. Do I love him. No, having said that he'd probably make my all time best Carlton side at Full Forward (sorry Soapy). He's got a problem when he drinks. No shit. But despite being an idiot when he's pissed the only time he's ever got violent is when he put a Irish bartender in a head lock.

Has he smacked his missus ? Has he been done for Drunk Driving ? Has his car been shot at ? Has he kicked a cab driver in the groin and then punched him.

Nope.

But if it sells papers...play on....

Fev makes a dick head of himself at the Brownlow and gets all the media attention...
Garry Ablett wins the Brownlow for the 1st time and gets little..

Wrong.....

The guy is an absolute tool, that obviously has scant respect for anyone.
Let him rot in his own Sh!t Pit world....

They won't sack him, its just like the Didak scenario at Collingwood, he's just too valuable to their chances of onfield success.
