Mick should get on the blower & phone Shaun Burgoyne asap as that would be the ideal trade.

inconsistency for inconsistancy.. not sure that would work..

Exactly. If I was a Port supporter, and Mark Williams refuses to trade him and makes him head to the PSD like he's done to Carr and Stevens before, I would really be questioning whether my coaching staff actually wants to win games. Why lose him for nothing when you can lose him for something?

Wait until lunchtime of the Friday of trade week, choose the best offer, and trade him. Would be doing another disservice to the Port members if he doesn't.

Burgoyne wont go in the PSD, and Hawthorn will need to play ball if they want him ... If the player they include with their first round pick isn't suitable to the Power, then the Bombers expected offer of Lovett + Pick #10 looks quite appealing.

Despite his poor Septembers, I can't see Collingwood trading Leon Davis.

Burgoyne and Lovett looks the obvious one, although pick 10 is a very substantial side salad. "Gotta get something" at the Power may be roughly the equivalent of "happy to see you go" plus a second round pick at Windy Hill.

I think you are spot on.

The guns either go in trade week or stay put (a la O'Keefe). They don't slide to the PSD.

People theorised the same about Judd but of course the trade happened.

Brock Mclean is going to Carlton in exchange for pick 11.
so that means Melbourne will have pick 1,2,11 and 18. four in the top 20.

This really surprises me to be honest. A man who was supposedly so passionate about the club.

Looks like Nick Stevens has been told he is no longer required also.

Also reported that Hadley is a chance of returning to Brisbane and that Voss has also met with Brent Staker with Dalziell being floated as a possible option for WCE.

Hello silly season.

It's done. On the Melbourne radio, web etc etc....

Pretty happy with that considering he's only 23, and in/under midfielder. Just what Carlton needs.

Considering it's a weak draft, could be a very good move by the Blues.....

Happy with that SJABC? Good trade for both clubs IMO, Will help Judd and co out which is a bonus for the Blues.

His neck is rooted, so could see him pulling the pin.

And Pup. Yeah as long as he passes the medical, a great get for the Blues.

Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, McLean, Kruezer....Nice midfield that....

Agree.

The word is the club has said or is about to say that he is no longer required.

Nick Stevens was spotted in the changerooms at Central District games twice this season.

Why would you be trading to improve your strength? Surely some key defenders might be needed?

Carlton lack an extractor type of midfielder. Our defence is young and on the up.

Waite, Jamieson both injured this year, Austin injured in the later bit, Bower, Thornton and throw in O'hAilphan & Hartlett, and we're OK there.

Carlton will / should draft a KPP Forward though.....
