Just from memory, weren't the Saints the media pundits favourite for the flag in either 1997 or 1998?

I think I will, in view of the fact that anything that has gone before has no bearing on what happens now. Anyone who thinks the Saints aren't in with a real show this year are in denial.

Very satisfying win 8) Many 'experts' thought our time had come this weekend. Nope.

Is there a better player in the game right now than Riewoldt? I doubt it......

18 Next week will equal CO in 1929
80 years ago was the last team to win the first 18 in a row

The draw

18 SS ....easy win
19 HW....the hawks are starting to fire, the danger game
20 ES......this win would equal the ES record in 2000
21 NM.....kangarooted
22 ML.....Stevie Wright had a band named after this mob

Rounds 19/20 appear to be the only games the spirit of 66 might lose

Hawthorn at York Park is the biggest threat there. Our performances at that ground were pretty terrible when we had those home games down there.

You know what I meant for the minor round season MR clickety click
CO 18 in a row [the last team to get to 18]
ES got 20 in a row [yes they are the last team officially to get 18 in a row, then they got to 20]

Spare a thought on streaks for SAINTALs 2 teams
SK 17 wins in a row
SA 14 losses in a row

QUESTION
CO won 18 in a row, was that a whole Minor round season back in 1929 ?????

QUESTION
What is the most consecutive wins by any team in the VFL/AFL ?

Yes.
Lost 2nd Semi to Richmond but were assured a place in the GF due to the Argus system of finals
that was in use @ the time.
Got thumped by the Tiges in that game but challenged them and won the GF.
