had to bite the bullett & trade Tuck for Wonamierri, who I conveniently traded away earlier on :( ....
Once this Dream Team sham is out of the way, Black might be interested in playing club football...

ROUND FIVE FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. Hammo
Parko vs. Gingernuts
Woggy vs. Booney
Cub vs. Reignman
Carlos vs. Pup
The Wog vs. Mighty Eags
Trunky vs. Bleu Boy
SBJAC vs. The Real Number 3

The scoring wasn't too bad in the Hogg in Round 4 seeing as so many players missed the round. Those who managed to rack up good scores in spite of the absence of Cornes, Ablett, Brown and Black included the undefeated wonder elephants (2204), the top of the ladder Mr Football (Pup) (2180) and the mighty REBCats who knocked up 2189. This week's round has plenty of important matches between fellow top eight sides while at the other end the strugglers will be facing off. Expect Pup to strengthen his hold on top spot as he should be too good for the struggling Carlos. The match of the round is between 3rd ranked FOOTY LEDGENS (Cub) and Reigman's capbable Team Bring it. The winner of that match is looking good for a top four spot. The Dud cup this week is between Dario's Testaccio SPQR and Mighty Eags' Mighty Crows who are anchored firmly to the foot of the ladder. This week the Hogg Shield's league ranking is up to 3229.

Round 4 High Score: 2204 (Trunky)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 4 Low Score: 1337 (Mighty Eags)
Season Low Score: 1337 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. Shan
Cub II vs. Luke
Nathan vs. Carlos II
finn vs. blood5
REB II vs. Reignman II
Carey vs. Jared
Hearts on Fire vs. Tom Hafey
Punk Rooster vs. Benny Boy

Last round in the Magoos the mighty Straycats (2353) finally found their strut to decimate Fevalenko while the ol Black Magic (2213) was on display to clean up hollands heroes. Punk Rooster kept his winning ways going by cleaning up T Shirt Tommy Hafey to remain undefeated after four rounds. The game of the round this week is between the two highest scoring combinations of last round in my very own Straycat Strut against the Black Magic of Reignman in the only match between two top eight sides this round. At the arse end of the ladder Hearts on Fire have been left behind after losing to Ben's Gorillas. He won't find it any easier either against Tommy on the rebound this week so the prediction for this fight is PAIN. The second division of the Hogg Shield in now ranked 7752, which is up from the week before.

Round 4 High Score: 2353 (REB) \:D/
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 4 Low Score: 1121 (Luke)..retains his title!
Season Low Score: 1082 (Shan)

Cleaned up in the Magoos against Black Magic but lost by a mere 12 to Poo Army in the league. Steve Johnson is costing me badly in first division. :(

REB i am sticking with the proven formula which manufactured the Richmond Tiger's dynasty back in the 70's .

Warm up with indian file , circle work for 30mins , finish off with some criss cross handle ball to sort the men out from the boys and then hit showers .

The Hogg Shield is an actual trophy that is contested almost perpetually amongst staff members of Ipswich City Council in online fantasy comps. The Hogg Shield was named after former Australian Cricketer Brad Hogg as Troy was always talking him up NFC style but would never actually pick Hogg in his cricket sides. The first Hogg Shield event was contested in 2006 and has so far covered Cricket, Rugby Union, AFL, NRL, Super XIV,Soccer and NFL. The current holder of the Hogg Shield is Dario Campobassi who won the recently concluded Super XIV competition.

Dario 'The Wog' Campobassi, Myself and Troy 'Hammo' Hamilton have won the majority of Hoggs having won four each. The only SAFooty.net winner of the Hogg was 'Simon' with his Himonza's All Stars in the Ashes series in 2005. Pup and Wonder Elephant have both been very strong contenders in the current AFL competition and are so far unbeaten. Another competition was also won outside Qld for the Sri Lanka v Australia and South Africa v New Zealand that was listed as a Hogg Shield event but a Hogg Shield event isn't a Hogg Shield event unless a minimum of three ICC employees have entered so this event doesn't appear on the shield.

If the Hogg is won by a non-ICC person they get their name on the shield but the actual shield itself never leaves Lords...I mean Ipswich City Council.

ROUND SIX FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. Reignman
Parko vs. Booney
Woggy vs. Gingernuts
Cub vs. Hammo
Carlos vs. The Real Number 3
The Wog vs. Bleu Boy
Trunky vs. Mighty Eags
SBJAC vs. Pup

Pup and Trunky continue their domination of the Hogg Shield to remain undefeated after five rounds. Pups Mr Football pounded the hapless (or rather, hopeless) Duds and Injured by a massive 876 points which is a nice old boost to the percentage. All the other top eight coaches salute you (with a finger raised) Carlos you incompetent git! Pup's 2233 points was the best of the round while Carlos regained his Dud title after momentarily giving it up to Mighty Eags. The big match this week is when my underperforming REBCats face up to the invaders from the West, Reignman's Team Bring it. Reigny was clearly hoping for a yawning gap to appear between him and the rest of the field (see coaches box for explanation) but he is now currently outside the top four. He can recitify that if he can beat the Cats this weekend. Our league is slightly down from last week's ranking but a slumbering giant in the form of The Wog might just be awakening now that he has successfully snaffled the Super XIV Hogg. The current league ranking for the Hogg is 3514.

Round 5 High Score: 2233 (Pup)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 5 Low Score: 1357 (Carlos)
Season Low Score: 1337 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. blood5
Cub II vs. Carlos II
Nathan vs. Luke
finn vs. Shan
REB II vs. Benny Boy
Carey vs. Tom Hafey
Hearts on Fire vs. Jared
Punk Rooster vs. Reignman II

Punk Rooster continues to be the prime candidate for promotion to next year's Hogg Shield after continuing his unbeaten run at the expense of Benny Boy's lowly Gorillas. This week he faces a much tougher test against Reignman's Black Magic who copped Straycat Strut racking up the high score of the league for a second successive week. The unluckiest bloke in the second division has to be finny who's Chardonays are going down a treat despite racking up some decent scores so far this season. Don't underestimate the finn (He hasn't jumped the Shark!). A special mention to Hearts on Fire who finally got off his backside to rack up his first win well done. It took me to write you off before you finally fired up. PM me your BSB number and further success could be yours! The second division went up to 7013, a promotion of over 700 places. Go the magoos.

Round 5 High Score: 2193 (REB) 8)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 5 Low Score: 1261 (Shan)
Season Low Score: 1082 (Shan)
