A very smart kid, will receive at least $45,600 (2006 base figure for a 1st round draft pick) for attempting his VCE.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Welcome to South Australia Patrick are you glad we drafted you????

We all think someone else should have got drafted and we all think there's a big risk that you're either no good or tied to the apron-strings

And we are completely offended you don't want to do year 12 in an SA School, what's wrong with you??

Two other clubs passed on Ebert after Adelaide did. I'd expect Adelaide to pick up alot of SA boys as rookies, which they've used pretty well...at times.

I wonder if any of the AFL clubs that considered drafting Ebert took the view that due to the strong Port heritage on both sides that he was a candidate to go home ?

Smart move by the Crows. Select a kid who wants to get paid heaps to study ahead of a youngster who doesn't want to get the hell out of Port Adelaide ha ha.

I hope the Crow fans all get over this or will it continue to haunt Dangerfield forever as is the case of the McGregor vs Pavlich debate which continues to way on Kenny.

The Facts are, the media has built up this love romance between Ebert and the AFC, and most people have gone along with the ride believing if Ebert was available it was a done deal..... now the crows have selected Dangerfield everyone is shocked

The only argument I have seen in favor of Ebert is that he carries SA bloodlines and he is a local lad.....

Has anyone considered that just maybe Dangerfield is the better prospect...

Only time will be the judge, lets give both players an opportunity to develop their careers, and in 5 years time, we will be in a position to make a judgement call on this selection, the AFC would have either mucked up a top 10 selection, or it will be a stoke of genius...

For those who want to make that call now, all of you are nothing but premature ejaculators

Ebert has been picked to make his debut for West Coast this week, against Adelaide, at AAMI Stadium

It was mentioned on 5AA that Ebert is travelling with them but not certain to get a game, at the same time it was mentioned, I think I've got this right, that if Dangerfield was staying in Adelaide he'd definately be playing for Westies and has been training so well would be in line for a game with Adelaide. I think he won't be playing for the Crows at all this year.

The Eagles would need to agree to the trade, Port would need to offer quite a lot to get him, or alternatively they'd have to finish bottom to pick him up in PSD, can't see any of those scenarios happening.

Exactly.

Not to mention WCE have a few other very happy SA boys that will be long term players. Not to mention an excellent record of keeping quality interstate players.
