Check the AFL records. Pretty sure you'll find Carlton and Essendon with the most on 16 ;)

next time your at Carlton just do a quck check for me and let me know how many cups have AFL premiers written on them

The only difference is the V and the A......................exact same comp though.

Absolutely.
The Crows should never have been formed.
Port should have been told to go join the VFL alone if they wanted to.
And the player retention scheme in the SANFL should have been reinforced.

A national comp (or extended VFL) was inevitable, the SANFL had been looking at a composite side since the early 80s.
The Port bid more or less forced the SANFL's hand.
Even if SA didn't have an AFL side, most if not all the best players would be playing elsewhere.
There's no way a retention scheme could have kept up and the one that existed didn't really work from memory.

Certainly didn't keep the best playing in the sanfl. Look at some of the SOO sides before the crows were formed.

Yes, a national competition was inevitable, but it could have been truly national, not the VFL in disguise and in control.
Gary McIntosh and a quite a few other good players refused to sign with VFL clubs.

Port haven't beaten a top 8 side either, but i've been hearing a lot of spruiking

West Coast ring a bell?

and don't forget about the crows now there in the top 8 as well. I just think it's funny how they where bagging port so much because they hadn't beaten a top 8 side.

So, have port beaten a top 8 side now?

nope and the crows havent either. my point was the crow fans where dishing out the crap when port where winning games but now the tables have turned they seem to forget that they are in the same boat.

So are us Cats fans allowed to put crap on your joke of a club if Crows fans aren't?

Only if you want to bite the hand that feeds us. Port have given us so much in the last six or seven seasons. The gift that keeps on giving. Unlike the Crows who have no snaffled Ayres, Burns, Sanderson and Milburn over the years. Come back Ronnie LOL.
