How so?
Plenty of other sides have rebounded after poor seasons without resorting to deliberate tanking

Like?

Hawthorn, Geelong, West Coast, they all bottomed out but didnt throw games
Even Port last year, didnt see them turn up their toes to lose deliberately to gain picks and look at their turn around this year. It can be done

My lord...if you don't think West Coast were tanking then you really don't have a clue. Port were clearly not trying last year. Geelong have a huge asterix and have had luck with father-son selections. I remember Hawthorn being crud for a very long time.

My memory of West Coasts season was they had a heap of injuries, lost a few to retirement and had some bad luck.
I thought they were still competitive that season. Maybe im wrong but I dont think they tanked.
Port were just coached by a crap coach, they were better than they showed last year

Anyway on to tomorrow nights blockbuster.
I was very surprised to see Ryder not recalled although I think he may be a late change.
Plenty of changes this week with Hurley, Winderlich, Fletcher, Carlisle and Heppell coming in and Stanton, Pears, Merrett and Dempsey missing.
Hoping for a cracker game but think Geelong are just too good. Cats by 24 in a fairly high scoring game

Come on Jimbo,

Surely Primus was tanking last year, thats what all coaches whose jobs are under the pump do for their footy club rather than try and win a few games and save their careers. ;)

We copped a heap of 60 point hidings last year doesnt mean we were tanking.

West Coast were losing by 10 points to middle-of-the-road teams at home by more than 5 goal.

Geez you thought that we were tanking in 2010 I assume? To gain what exactly? Finish with a spoon and only pick 4?
Probably not the best year to tank now is it.
Are we tanking this year? Sure bloody seems like it.
