**** just play the round, give us something to look forward to.
If you can go on a bus, exchange cash with a shop assistant, go to school shit just about 1000 things that will put you at risk way beyond playing AFL grade footy. These guys would be so isolated they'd be in the bottom 2% of picking up anything.

They have to be playing, if there were going to call it off it would have been done by now surely.

What if a lockdown is enforced Friday? I don't disagree with you but society can't put these guys above the general populace.

Yeah I know, but it's such a low %. Just be nice to have a bit of a spirit lift, turn on 360 & see discussion around team selection, ponder how to donate $20 to you blokes in footy tips & work out some heartbreaking multis, just a bit of a break from this 24/7 dark cloud.
Had breakfast at our usual cafe & the poor girl who runs the show with her husband was in tears about the chance of losing her 8yo business to this thing, she's taking a big chance serving the public & handling cash just to survive, sort of put put the footballers plight onto perspective to me.

Valid point, I'm pondering going to the pub this arvo or tomorrow, I like the Wednesday races but Thursday I've gotta put my tips in if the comp is still starting this week.

Agree, just be nice to watch some footy and take our minds off it for a couple of hours, we can't underestimate how helpful that might/well be.

FWIW Handling Cash does not spread germs or the virus!

Fair to say the AFL's contractual lawyers and Fox/7's contractual lawyers have been working towards an outcome and my gut feel is the broadcasters have said you give us 17 games and finals and we'll cop it, anything less and we're up you in an instant.

Lawyers would be as busy as the supermarkets right now.

If games are to go ahead, and we are somehow still playing at Easter, will the Cats v Hawks game be played at Geelong as it is their home game?

What the law with when “states of emergency” have been declared??

Yep, I'd be backing the AFLs lawyers here.
Surely they didnt incorporate this scenario into a contract?

The longer it goes, the more likely be called off.

Think he wants to play, but advice is it just has to be called off like every other sport in the world has, but he is clinging to some small hope he can play Round 1.

Hope its called off, seems pointless playing one round and then big gap till the next game. Just wait for heavens sake.

16 minute quarters, why even bother.
Still think it’s a bad look for these guys to play but I’ll still tune in
