Dutchy wrote:Established/Proven goal scorers - Waite, Higgins, Thomas

Young forwards who will deliver with Petrie now out - Brown, Wood, Garner

Throw JZ, Anderson thru the forwards and I reckon its in the top half of the comp.

Been hanging around Crows supporters for too long ;)

Wood looks a real prospect from the limited North games I saw last year

Waite.

Dutchy hung shit on Wells for how many games he gets in a season, Waite's last 8 - 14,23,16,14,11,12,16,9. Average 14.That's a big enough samples size to say anything more than 15 is a real bonus.

Lucky they won't need him come September. ;)

( Wells has averaged 15 per year across the last 8 seasons )

Aren't we discussing North?

Of course, we could drop all our mentality levels to school yard level or we could discuss topics as grown ups. I'll let you blokes decide.

You're questioning relying on players who do not play enough games in a year. Hence the comparison to Dixon.

Not quite warm enough for a sandy vag mate.

Shall we discuss that in the Port thread or the players who don't get on the park thread, or, can you let the conversation about North stay that way, about North? Being the North thread 'n all....

If I discuss this comparison in the Port thread, I am mentioning North players also...oh dear where oh where can I discuss this! LOL
Read my post again and it is relevant to your point about Wells and Waite, or you can keep with the whine and salty tears.

Of the three only Thomas averages more than 1.5 goals per game. ( 33 per year )

Lets have a look at some things from 2016.

NMFC def Adelaide.

Top 4 in disposals for NM were Cunnington, Ziebell, Gibson, Tarrant. (All still at the club).

Of the goalkickers, Harvey, Petrie and Dal Santo accounted for 6 of the 14. But, Garner, Higgins, Waite, Brown and Thomas all hit the scoreboard too.

NMFC def eventual Premiers WB

Waite, Brown, Ziebell, Higgins, Thomas account for 8 of the 9 goals. Petrie being the other.

Wells racked up the most disposals, but close behind was Thompson, Swallow (with 14 tackles as well), McMillan and Cunnington.

What I'm trying to point out is NM do have good players on the list. I think our guys relied more on the older players, to the detriment of team.

Brown and Waite are good leading targets.

Garner, Thomas and Higgins are great crumbing forwards.

Dal Santo was slower than my mum, and Petrie hasn't been his old self for a couple of seasons.

Spud was a good physical defender, but you can find a replacement for that.

Boomer was one of our greatest ever players, but he's old as shit. You have to move on before it bites you in the arse.

At least all the doom and gloom appears to be from supporters of other clubs. Us North supporters know what we lost, and what we still have, and as you can see by our comments, we're still optimistic.
