I dont remember them trading Greenwood for Higgins....

Im pretty sure if he leaves, its because he wants to leave.

It's believed the Magpies have offered Greenwood a four-year deal worth $1.8 million.

The Roos recently offered the uncontracted 25-year-old an improved three-year deal that they hoped would convince him to stay at Aegis Park.

I never said he was traded for him. If they didnt take Higgins they would have room to move on Greenwood with an improved offer. I am pretty sure this Greenwood move to Collingwood came after Higgins was announced as a Roo so...

I think someones been in his ear telling him he's better than he is lately.

"The first offer from North Melbourne was in July, which I did say at the time was underwhelming," Pickering said.

"North, in the end they came up with an offer that would have probably been accepted three months ago to be fair, or two months ago even.

North offered him what they thought he was worth. I think Collingwood must be paying overs, and I don't think he'll have as big an impact as people are saying now.

We'll see how it pans out. He played 11 games over 2012-13. Very lucky not to be delisted at the end of last season.

Can't really demand a big contract off the back of one good year.

I'll stand by my statement, he's a fairy and won't help you blokes get a premiership when push comes to shove deep in September.

Higgins will be of some real value though, IMO, both on the outside with run, as a small forward option and for a few years at least. That's a pretty good get IMO.

Only a good fit if stays fit which before this season has been his main problem.

My opinion might be clouded because I support an intestate club, but I'm not a fan of players wanting to return to Victoria for "opportunities" or "home-sickness" after 2 years in the system. They should just be stoked to be on a list.

Goodwin has a guaranteed head coach job in two years time. Dont blame him for taking the job. Agree about the others two allthough im glad we didnt get Garlett

Iv said it before and il say it again, the average wage in the AFL is nearly 300k, therfore a bloke like Greenwood is easily worth in the 4-500k range. Roos have shot themselves in the foot if they havnt allowed enough room to give Greenwood what he's worth.

Crows pick 10 to Brisbane for Aish, Brisbane pick 10 to Collingwood for Beams. Collingwood get a top 10 pick, Brisbane keep pick 4, Crows get home grown player one year down the track who himself was pick 7 and cover need for an outside mid

nobody was talking about Greenwood until now. if he is that good, people would be talking about him during the actual season. I dont see what all the fuss is about.
