How can Tippett say he is innocent, he and his manager took part in the deal, they could have refused but didn't, they could have gone to the AFL to report the breach, the didn't. They kept it quiet

Cant see how this makes him innocent

"He stayed at Adelaide to his significant detriment," Galbally said.

"I can't see that he has done anything wrong."

What detriment? He was paid millions of dollars by the Crows to stay and he accepted. He couldve refused to sign the contract and left then and there. He agreed to the contract, which makes him just as guilty.

And they cant say the detriment was missing family, etc, since now he's still trying to play away from their home city.

I'd love to see this dickhead get overlooked by everybody now. If not, I cant wait for his first game against the Crows.

Another one is going to cop it!

Indicates that a lot of this occurred after JR left the Crows.

One question - How was Tippett to know that the Crows did not include the $200k in the salary cap?

Cause he would of signed off his contract under a stat dec. He wouldn't of done that with the lesser contract that supposedly got sent in to the AFL if he didn't know what was happening

See my above post TSG. We aren’t forgetting anything, but hey don’t let the facts get in the way of your Anti AFC sentiments

AFC supporters know that the club is biggest player in this ordeal, we have lead the discussions... no denying that! Tippet cannot now after holding the club to ransom (which we stupidy played along with) say 'hey i knew nothing about it' when its supposedly documented.

Regardless of if the payment was to be in the salary cap or not, both the club and the player have a responsibility to tell the AFL of all payments.

Neither the AFC or Tippett told the AFL, hence the charges to both.

Tippett’s Manager seems to be dodging the spot light in all this, surely he has some responsibility in all this?!

Phil had nothing to do with Tippett's contract. Or his he charged by association because he could have done something about the extra payments?

I dont think it is Tippetts responsibility to ensure the Crows list any payment to him in their cap, otherwise every player would have access to the clubs books which would be interesting!

I still dont think he has done much wrong here at all....

I think he means both the Crows and the players agent have to submit details of the contract to the AFL so they know both parties have the same info and its all correct.
