I think Port and Adelaide walk out of trade week, along with GWS, the happiest.

Port have got what we wanted - Brad Ebert back and an established ruckman in Renouf who both walk into our 22 and strengthen our mid-field immediately. Im happy with that.

Adelaide have got what they wanted - Piss off Maric, Gunston and Armstrong while getting a shed load of draft picks and late in the running some big lump from Essendon as a back up ruckman. Adelaide clearly looking to rebuild and it should come as no surprise with a young first year coach looking to revamp a stale playing list.

In all honesty Ginge, you would have been disappointed if they had done any less, but I can see why you're happy.

GWS now walk into this draft with 11 of the first 14 picks and have added Brogan, Cornes and Power to their list. They'd be very happy.

Good points Booney.

I am suprised that Port were not a little more active considering they finished second last and this years draft is not meant to be that storng.

I can see where your coming from but with such a young list im not sure we needed to go down the experience path as it will hinder the development of the kids.

Im happy with a strong body and another midfielder with AFL experience, now its hopefully another tall defender / forward in the draft and our spine is beginning to take shape.

For mine Melb are the big winners.

They have the 2 picks for Scully and got Clark.
I heard Mark Neeld interviewed.. in his presentation to the Board, he picked a team from the current list and left blank the holes he needed filled.
A gorilla up forward, who can support Jamar in the ruck was obviously one of those gaps. Takes pressure (and number one defender off Jurrah and watts)
Great trade - Clark type of player they need.

Reasonably happy with Brisbane's trade week.
Offloaded the overrated Clark for pick 12.
Didn't get the Tippett deal over the line, but we now have two first round picks.
Don't know much about Lisle, but I hear he has a lot of potential.

I've been saying it for a while now.
Don't rate him that highly. Too inconsistent.
Think Melbourne definitely paid overs for him.

During trade week the other teams call Adelaide Ernsmiths.
They are good people to deal with.

Except that Renouf was the club's third preferred ruckman, couldn't get Griffen and your second preferred pick turned out to be a dud....according to your medicos. Good luck to Renouf though.

Also, it was good to pick up Dayne Zorko from the QAFL. He's a mature-bodied midfielder/forward who was best on ground for Queensland against WA in a state match this year. I expect him to play a few games in 2012.

Renouf was probably only 3rd choice, because Seaby would have been cheaper than a second round pick.

Not so sure. Griffen may have been the one we first went after as he seemed to want out and Renouf, still in contract, would have appeared to be a tougher task. As mentioned Seaby would have come much cheaper than Renouf.

Honestly, I'm surprised Hawthorn let Renouf go with Bailey being as fragile as he is.
