Caro said the AFL always like to make an announcement the Monday after the Spring Carnival is finished so the league remains in the media, was thinking today the Crows penalty would fit the bill nicely.

They managed to throw in the North Melbourne penalty for Hansen in recently to keep themselves in the spotlight a little, wouldnt be surprised if they drag this out a bit more.

Apparently the Crows have been charged and are appearing before the AFL commission next week and expected to plead GUILTY...

Spoke to someone on the weekend who knows John Reid well, if what they say is true Trigg is in more trouble than anyone involved in this mess.

How can they charge John Reid if he isn't an official?

Obviously from here Its a case of us grovelling for a lower penalty but some small consolation that Tippett will go down with us

So whoever drafts him will have a cheat on their playing list? ;)

Bingo!!!! Managers will be advising to steer clear.

Love it. Losing draft picks before Adelaide oval .

It's just a damn shame. An ultimate shame if you would.

Love it how the Crows people are coming out and saying they are not fussed if this lose their picks this year because they have fairly low picks and wont get anything decent from them anyway :?
Number 20 is still a handy pick and besides the AFL might take next years picks off you aswell

Agreed, 20 is still very handy indeed. I do think however we are reasonably well placed (with very young list) to best handle losing this years and possibly next years picks. The club will still feel the impact of the penalties dont get me wrong, but if we had 3 more blokes over/near 30 on the list the impact would be far greater

very dissapointed in my club to do something so stupid, but unfortunately people that are in power do things when under pressure from a whole supporter base to get a deal done. And for all the crow haters that wanna beat it up its obviously a one off thing as no other players have been bought before the commission. We will take our penalty and move on.

Does is make me love the club any less, No.

Technically, it is "if" until they appear and it happens, even if it appears likely according to the media.
