Not one of my favourites but a truly great career. So consistent and durable. A bloke you'd love to have in your team. Well done Boomer.

Not sure about that, he had a largely unsuccessful career from a team point of view with the only success coming very early when the team was influenced by the older stars and leaders. When he become the backbone of the side no success followed,
I dont feel as though I have missed anything not having him in my team.
You dont hold the games record without being a bit selfish (you can sit second though ;) )

OMG.
What a load of shit.
So it was his fault a shit load of super stars were exiting the game soon after his arrival.
Then he hung around and busted his gut for 20 years striving with his other team mates to re produce the lofty standards set in the past.
What a dopey post you made.

great news that the little legend, premiership player and loyal shinboner will remain a one club player, despite all the beat up about how this was handled none of the players feel disenchanted with the club.

Look forward to 2017 with JZ at the helm

Not really the place to air grievances though, is it? Hardly going to air the dirty laundry in the bag of fruit at the BnF. Well, depends on how many glasses you've emptied first.

Any collingwood offered him 3. Based on current list management decisions, he would have been told to leave after the two years

There has to be a time where the club makes the decision for the player.

I don't actually think many players decide their own retirement times without some sort of tap on the shoulder beforehand.

Robbie Tarrants acceptance speech was great too.

Absolutely, when the average wage is heading towards $400k pa, more and more players will be told to retire rather than the player making the call.
