Even though Goddard said there was nothing wrong with it....surprising decision, I thought it would of been thrown out for sure on his evidence.

Its all about the result these days, broken jaw = you are gone for a long time.

Ridiculous. Reckon it'll go to the tribunal and be downgraded

Nup, has accepted the 3 weeks

Probably not worth the risk to be honest

I just think it's funny Betts even did something like that. Very out of character.

MRP so inconsistent.

Totally agree!!!

Another aspect of the AFL that is screwed!

No way was there a five game difference between the Thomas and Betts incidents

It all started with Ziebell last year.
If the player is injured , add 2 games, no matter the force of the contact.

Pity Ziebell didn't break anyone's jaw though and still got 4.

MRP is a joke we all know the game rules are slowly killing the game and has been since the ziebell decision last year but its getting worse....

so let me get this right you cant in a marking contest bump, block, push off, hold, show your stronger, ect ect oh but you can put up a bumper bar roflmao...

now you cant bump in general play....

this game is dying and has been since the zeibel decision last year but its getting worse....

all this stuff has been around for 100 plus years and is (was) great to watch...

all the stuff you have been trained to do from a young age is gone...

what next??? what will it be like in 10 years time we wont be watching it is my guess....

In Ziebells case, I think the bloke went off concussed,It all comes down to how long the bloke stays on the ground.

Add me to the list of confused .. Jared Brennan could still be having Sylvia's elbow surgically removed yet it's only a 3 week suspension.

Was only luck that he didn't cop a 6 week injury out of it

I like Sylvia but that was rude, I think you should miss the amount of games the player you injured got, plus 2.
