You can just do it without supplements......I don't see the dudes in prison have a preworkout shake and 2 cups of jack3d.

No wonder I couldn't find any link between Wade Lees and Asada. Lees was prosecuted and suspended by the VFL/AFL. Customs informed asada, and asada informed the afl.

yeh but asada also have the chance to appeal the decision if they don't think it's long enough. It is also a ban from sport not just the vfl. so in other words asada make the call on the ban and the vfl hands it out.

Asada didn't appeal so there involvement was minimal.

Asada haven't actually got involved in many prosecutions/suspensions. Except for weightlifting. Looks as though if any afl players are involved in peds, then ot will be the AFL's call on prosecution and suspension. Essendon Afl players don't need to be concerned. The Essendon football club will be the one who cops the wrath. Big fines, some job loses, draft picks and maybe premiership points.

Guilty as can be.

I would argue Essendon & Geelong are bringing the game into disrepute and should be booted from the comp.

Even if a dozen teams were kicked out Carlton still wouldnt win.
Geelong havnt even been mentioned in any ill doings.
We will get a big fine and lose draft picks nothing else

That can be your punishment from the AFL but ASADA and co will be rubbing players out for 6month to 2years if found guilty which is a given.

Its likely to end up as a team sanction penalty. When multiple players are involved, the club gets the penalty.

there involvement was minimal? their the ones that did the investigation. Asada didn't appeal because they thought the sanctions where correct. With the AFL from what i've heard ASADA will be the ones handing out the sanctions. From my understanding ASADA only hand out the sanctions in professional sport. If Essendon layers have been found to be doping then they will get banned.

May be a loophole in the system.
I am quite confident players wont cop penalties

nope, to be a professional sport needs to have professional athlete's, how many players in the vfl only play football for a living, not including the ones with afl contracts.

I thought professional sport was any sport you received money from playing. It was how the Olympic committee and rugby union world defined pro sport for decades.

Not sure, there are guys playing country footy in my league getting over $1k per week, wouldnt think they would be be classed as professionals even though they declare it to the ATO

Is weightlifting a pro sport? Asada seem to be heavily involved in weightlifting.

Why do the AFL persist in a one off Monday Night game every year ? They have said they won't make it a permanent fixture, so why do it at all.
