Talk on the national game

While there has been alot of talk about Wingard (rightly so), im super impressed with Crouch's development in the last month and think we have a winner. In a few years we will have Paddy D (150 games), Sloany (100 games) and Crouch (50-100games) leading our midfield - so there is plenty to like about that

Add Grigg to that as well, can't believe we've continued to play a hobbled Thompson instead of giving Grigg an earlier go.
Lyons has been okay, finds the ball but seems to stuggle to run out whole games.

Yeah Grigg will be ok, hopefully Kerridge can develop. I like Lyons, think he will be more a HFF that rotates through. I think Petrenko needs to be released out the FWD pressure role a bit more.

Also add Brodie Smith who i think will end up being a good mid who is a 70-80 metre player run/carry/kick

shhhh dont tell everyone they all think we have a s*it list and wont play finals for years. Bottom 6 this year should mean 2 games against a few more bottom 6 sides next year. Not that playing GC twice will be a good thing next year.

Grigg showed a bit yesterday, Lewis will be a good 3rd tall with Jenkins and Tex (play linch on the wing next year)

Plenty of reasons to be bullish about next season. The big key for me is what do we do with the salary cap space that Tippett has left. We should be in the market for one of the big fish floating around, need to make the most of this poor situation. That said Trigg will probably add to his list of monumental screw ups and do something really stupid.

I think we should go hard at Jack Watts, they mentioned him on 360 that he would be an ideal fit for AFC. I agree he has played in terrible sides but can definately play the game

Looking at the free agent list, doesn't seem to be much quality that would realistically want to move to adelaide. Wouldn't mind seeing the club chase Betts or Gibbs as it would seem Carlton is in need of a massive overhaul and the crows could get lucky. Gorringe from the suns would be interesting, south aussie boy who is at least 4th in line at the suns behind Smith,Nicholls and Dixon... A lot of similarities to how we picked up sauce. Often thought Cooney would be a good target, just too many question marks over his knees and it seems as though he is close to agreeing to terms with the dogs. Other then that, a reliable big defender is must as Rutten gets closer to the end. Who that is, i dont know... Maybe pears from essendon. Interesting times ahead, would be great to have matty rendell leading the decision making process.

Another rising star nominee to make it 4 for the season.

If we can take any positives out of the year it would be that we have got games into our kids.

The likes of Grigg, Laird, Brown, Kerridge and of course Crouch have impressed giving us some real hope.
