On your other point crowds are down in SA because basically we are a state of front runners. I regularly attend United,36ers and Redbacks games and when we are losing no one rocks up, when we are winning the place is packed. If the Crows start winning again they will be sold out in minutes.

Even Demetriou admitted recently the structure of the comp wasn't ideal and if you were starting again it would be different.
No one wants to see their side miss out, fold or merge though, so the Vic-heavy comp stays.

As for crowds, people like winners and it's pretty much the same everywhere.
Every side has the die hard supporters and the more casual fans.

My main issue is the fixture and the tanking. They should have everyone play each other once and then split into top 6, middle 6, bottom 6 to fight out for final positioning. They should also have random draft picks weighted towards the bottom teams. Would solve a lot of the issues.

I can see why they have expanded to Western Sydney and Gold Coast and hope that all the current clubs can survive. Many people follow clubs more so than the game itself and losing these clubs will lose a lot of people to the game.

I think Tassie deserve a side. More so than GWS did.
