@Booney.

Of course they are going to be angry with the 20 year old lad. He sold out. Emotions are not logical thought processes...unlike the cynical manipulation of the AFL. The crowds are at record numbers, the only way is down. So while the crowds are at record numbers and the TV rights are at their fattest value why not introduce the new teams thus preventing the inevitable drop off in attendance figures because this organisation doesn't listen to it's fans.

That way the rules committee can continue to confuse the umpires who will then go on to confuse the players. It doesn't matter if they lose a lot of customers in SA and a few customers in Victoria because the TV rights and the numbers up North will disguise the fact that Vlad, Adrian, Geishcen and KB has basically stolen our game off us.

Meanwhile wave goodbye to some of your favourite players. **** all of the turncoat **** and the greedy **** at AFL headquarters. I piss on the lot of em.

This part especially. Couldn't agree more. The only person that will be happy with the condition of the AFL when Andy D moves on is the man himself.

Nice rant. So is it Vlad they ( Crow fans ) should be pissed at, or Davis?

Im sure clubs hated losing players to the crows when they entered. It happens and its something all clubs will have to get used to as im sure there willbe more clubs added in future

Yeah it was a great comfort knowing that the Geelong Football Club voted in the Gold Coast's conditions of entry before they stole our best player. Like the fans give a **** what the clubs vote on. As always fans are much more loyal than the players. Crow fans have a right to be dirty.

The clubs voted on it full well knowing they would lose players.

Crow fans can be angry with the AFL for the manner it was set up, dont be angry with a 20 year old lad who is taking the opportunity of a life time to secure his long term future.

I wonder if you will feel the same way if Boak or Trengove heads that way?

Not anywhere near the same calibre, but I didnt grizzle about losing Krakouer. Just the way it is at the moment and what can one little* Boon do about it?

Was less happy with Burgoyne leaving but my club and the coach at the time may have had something to do with that.

Life's too short to keep getting the shits with things I cant control.

( Boak just signed a new deal keeping him here until the end of 2013 )

I dont think there is much between Trengove and Davis and if it was me losing Krakouer I would have had a party in my pants....I dont rate him at all.

Agreed. If I had to pick which player I would like to see go from port, it would be carlisle. Bloke looks disinterested when he is on the field and with his recent "trip" to western sydney i hope he already has his apartment picked.

A good rant does wonders. None of this 'as will it shall be' shit. We grow old for a reason. To be Grumpy old bastards ha ha. I reckon everyone should be pissed at Vlad, but the Crowies can have their Davis. At least they didn't have a 'Phil stay' day with idiots holding up placards made by the Addy at the ol home ground!

Would have liked to keep Davis but personally feel that Daniel Talia will be a better player anyway and that Luke Thompson will probably be as good a player if he ends up at CHB

How do Adelaide now approach his rehabilitation over the next 6 weeks?

If his contract with Adelaide expires at the end of October ( I think thats when it is ), what obligations do they now have to him?

Just a guess,

Probably unlikely to be welcome at the club any more, he would probably be likely to want to stay away as he would no doubt feel as uncomfortable there as the club would in having him there for the rest of the season.

His rehabilitation would likely be handed over to Sports med or similar, perhaps supervised by GWS if the contract is all signed and delivered and he is effectivley their player.

I dont think they have any real obligations, his contract may well simply lapse now that a new contract has been signed.

He hasn't actually signed. Just announced he has agreed to terms but can't sign until the end of the year under the rules so technically not gws player atm

How likely is this scenario? Taylor Walker recently advises GWS he's staying with Adelaide now that Craig has gone. GWS takes second option Davis who signs pretty much immediately..

If the contract of $850000 for each of 3 years is the truth, Phil Davis would have rocks in his head not to accept that for his own future. You look after yourself these days. Good luck to him

As posted in the Crows Nest thread, I'm seriously pissed about this one. Not necessarily at the young fella himself, just the system in general.

Not only are we bottoming out when the drafts are totally comprimised, but we're also having to deal with our best young players being poached. FFS.

Man the life boats Crows fans, Iceberg dead ahead. Forget the women and children, tickets off the ship look like they'll going to the highest ******* bidder.
